Useful Generative AI Prompts for Writing note (Introductory Edition)
In commemoration of the capital and business alliance between note and Google.
Here are some recommended ways to use Gemini and GPT as creative support tools without stifling the personality or strengths of note writers.
The following are prompts focused primarily on "improving the creator's ability to articulate ideas". Rather than letting AI take away your writing skills, you want to use AI to cultivate them.
Assemble an article from tweets
For beginners who find it difficult to suddenly write a long note. Post your thoughts as a series of tweets on X, then copy and paste them into a generative AI to have them summarized.
The following is a copy-paste of my X thread. Summarize the main points of these loosely written tweets, organize them systematically, and consolidate my thoughts.
You can have it generate an article as is, but even just having it clearly organize your thoughts once is highly effective.
Adjusting the peaks of excitement
For those who struggle with creating excitement because their writing tends to be flat.
I want to create a solid sense of excitement in the following text. Review the entire piece and point out areas where I can build up the excitement. Also, provide guidance on points to keep in mind when enhancing those sections.
Checking for missing arguments and weaknesses
Support fire for those who cannot organize their opinions logically.
Review the following article as an editor and point out any missing arguments, logical leaps, or areas that are overly biased.
Don't leave the reader behind
For those who are told by readers, "I don't really understand what you're talking about."
Review the following article and point out any parts that lack sufficient explanation, which might leave readers behind or cause confusion. Please also provide analytical advice on how to fix them.
I want to summarize an article roughly.
For those who struggle with writing summaries at the beginning or end.
For the following article draft, I want to create a 3-line bulleted summary to place at the beginning and end.
The point is to "offload the parts you're bad at." Keep the fun parts for yourself!
The trick to mastering AI at this stage is to "offload the parts you're bad at." If you leave the fun parts to the AI, it might break your spirit...
If you struggle with the lead paragraph at the beginning, it's good to offload the lead paragraph. If you struggle with verbalizing your feelings, it's good to offload the verbalization. If you tend to use difficult language, it's good to offload the task of simplifying the text.
By passing the revision methods or the revision work for the "parts you're bad at" to the AI, human creators can focus on "what they really want to convey." I believe that is a healthy way for creators to utilize generative AI.
