Introduction

Scale has already arrived.
So, how do we live within it?

Are we on the inside, or the outside?
Is that setting itself even real in the first place?
Or are we simply unaware that we are already on the inside?

How to live in the AI era?

Scale is not coming; it is already here.
It is already in progress, and shows no signs of stopping.

The question being asked is,
"How do you live within it?"

There is a common composition.

"Large-scale cloud vs. individual local."

The former is read as AI-driven digital authoritarianism,
and the latter is read as democratization.
I understand that sentiment.

But even on the local side—.

Hasn't the nano-scale design and composition that serves as the premise for the local
already shifted toward AI design and robot control?
Hasn't the era where genius designers and skilled craftsmen were the protagonists
already ended?

"At hand"
"Made by humans"
"Controlled by humans"

—these are not the same thing.
The narrative of democratization tends to bundle these three together.

In that sense,
both large-scale cloud and individual local are inside the AI era.
The difference between the two may no longer be anything more than a narrative distinction.

That is precisely why
an axis that is not co-opted by either the mainstream or the counter-mainstream is necessary.

That is why I place "survival strategy" at the center of this discussion.

While knowing thisstructure,
choosing where to stand.
I believe that is one of the things required at this very moment.
