From smug to humbled! A 60-something "Wachi" who had to prostrate herself in apology 😭
Greetings, everyone.
This is "Wachi".
Even though I keep saying "I don't want to, I don't want to,"
this long commute
has become my note-writing time.
I basically work weekends, but
today is an irregular Monday shift.
I've been feeling under the weather since yesterday, but
I thought, "I'm going to look sharp and cheer myself up!"
A black dress with leggings.
A platinum diamond necklace and earrings,
silver shoes.
And of course, a smug look behind my sunglasses.
Today's Wachi is dressed quite edgily!

Sigh 😔~
A whole day has passed.
I really messed up... *sigh* (´・ω・)...
When I arrived at work at 11:00 yesterday,
a colleague was grinning at me 😁
"You know, it was changed to 9:30 today."
What~😨, seriously? No way!?
When I checked the shift schedule on the wall,
it had been changed...
"I'm so sorry, I didn't notice!"
I apologized with my face turning bright red.
"It's okay, there were people here in the morning so it wasn't a problem. Besides, it was busier in the evening, so it actually helped," they said with a smile.
In my heart, I felt like I wanted to prostrate myself
and apologize over and over, as if worshipping a god...
After that, I worked busily,
and although I took a break, it was over in a flash
past 7:00 PM.
It got busy from the evening,
so my overtime didn't really increase,
and in the end, it was fine, but...
A driver I'm close with came by and said,
D "So I heard you were super late today?"
Me "W-why do you know that?"
D "Word travels fast~
Heh, what? Since you live in the countryside,
did you miss the bus or train?"
...😏 ...Heh heh 🤣"
Me "It's not that much of a countryside!"
I struck a pose to throw a hook,
pretending to punch him in the stomach 🤜.
"Heh heh heh..."
The driver walked away laughing.
Geez, how many people is that now?
But still, it was my responsibility for missing it.
That was what shocked me this time.
Even though I wasn't feeling well,
it's only natural to keep track of these things properly.
I was disillusioned
by my own incompetence for not being able to do that.
Do I not even have the ability to manage myself...
Am I at my limit...
At work, I acted nonchalant,
and when teased, I laughed it off, but
on the crowded train home, and even at home,
I was feeling a bit down. But...
There's no point in worrying about it!
Worrying won't change anything!!
Yes, yes, I'm reflecting on it!
I'll be more, more careful!
It was a weekday and there were people there, so it was fine!
I interpreted it that way and moved on.
I mean, I certainly didn't feel like writing about this
triumphantly yesterday, but...
Yesterday, I went to work looking sharp and then crashed...
Still dressed in my edgy outfit, I returned home
on a crowded train, feeling completely dejected.
I really am such a strange person...
No matter how much time passes,
I just can't seem to fix my clumsiness.
Is this some kind of incurable disease?
Reflecting on my actions, Wachi!
Well then, everyone,
farewell for now, see you later...
