【A Single Light Shining in the Valley of Nothingness】

Back when the world had no form, and mountains, rivers, and even the sound of the wind had no names.
There existed a realm of silence called the "Valley of Nothingness."
Though called a valley, it was not a physical terrain.
It was a place where "things that have not yet appeared" quietly breathed.
At its center, a child slept.
His name was
In (The Seal). In was not yet born.
Yet, he certainly "existed."
His body was made of pale light,
so ephemeral that he seemed as if he would vanish if touched.
However, deep within his chest,
a
seed of cause that no one yet knew of was pulsing quietly. In did not walk.
He did not fight.
He did not speak.
He simply "was" there.
Yet, those who wandered into the valley,
for some reason, would all sit beside In,
and begin to speak, bit by bit,
of the pain and wishes they had kept hidden deep in their hearts.
In would offer no reply.
He would only listen quietly.
But strangely enough,
everyone who finished speaking
felt the weight in their chests suddenly lighten,
and by the time they left the valley,
they held the resolve to take a new step forward.
In did not know.
That he was creating "cause."
That his non-resistance
was lighting the flame of "being" in people's hearts.
One day, a young girl wandered into the valley.
Her name was
Kogetsu. It was the young Kogetsu, before she had become a shrine maiden.
The moment Kogetsu saw In, she shed tears.
She did not know why.
She only felt the "fear" deep in her chest melting away.
"What... are you?"
In did not answer.
He only swayed his pale light,
as if to catch Kogetsu's tears.
Within that light, Kogetsu saw
the "signs" of a future that no one yet knew.
The "seed of cause" before everything—
conflicts, mediations, and the twelve stars—began.
"You are... the beginning before the beginning, aren't you?"
Kogetsu whispered,
and gently took In's hand.
In that moment,
the "seed of cause" sleeping deep in In's chest
emitted a faint light.
It was
the "being within nothingness" that had not yet taken form.
It was the first tremor
before the world began to move.
Eventually, Kogetsu left the valley
and returned to the phenomenal world.
The girl who would later guide the king as the Tenkosei star
had already received the "cause" at this time.
In fell back into a quiet sleep.
His role
would continue in the depths of the world,
without anyone ever knowing.
Teninsei—it is the story of the first light
that one who is not yet born gives to the world.
🌙 Afterword — Teninsei, the "Light Before the Beginning"
Teninsei is a story of energy that dwells in a place even deeper than the stories of the Twelve Great Subservient Stars—
in the "Valley of Nothingness" before the world took form.
If the Twelve Generals are beings that act in the phenomenal world as "results," then Teninsei is the star that quietly gives birth to all those "causes."
It is "being within nothingness," having form while its content is equal to nothing, and it is also "nothingness within being," where a single ray of light runs through the void.
In speaks of nothing, seeks nothing, and simply exists.
However, that very silence of non-resistance
became the root of Kogetsu's signs,
the intuition of Rokushin's reality,
the stillness of Dogen's order,
the softness of Hoga's words,
the weight of Kyokushin's character,
and became the "seed of cause" for each of the Twelve Generals.
When In was born into the phenomenal world,
he accomplished nothing.
By simply existing,
the sparks of conflict were extinguished,
people's hearts were lightened,
and the causality of the world quietly changed.
Teninsei is,
the first light that shines before the beginning.
A star that does not move results, but gently changes causes.
If the stories of the Twelve Generals are the "harmony of phenomena," then the story of Teninsei is the "harmony of causes."
That quiet light will continue to breathe silently at the foundation of every story yet to be woven.
