Crushed in a practical role-play...? Learning from a misunderstanding, a 50-something's 'honest comeback' and gratitude to those around me - I'm going to be the King of Sole Proprietors!
Hello.
The tumultuous second day of my practical training in Tokyo has come to an end.
From the guidance on the first day, practical exercises began immediately,
and that night, an 'assignment to be submitted by the next morning'was given.I was working on the assignment with all my might, but...
To my surprise, in the middle of the work, I realized I had been working on an assessment task for a completely different point.

Although I hurriedly corrected my course halfway through, the submission ended up being half-baked because my verification was incomplete,
and as a result, I committed a regrettable mistake where necessary check items were completely
missing.
1. A crushing defeat in the practical role-play, but the kind words of the instructors
That lack of preparation took its toll, and I suffered a spectacular, crushing defeat in the practical role-play held on the second day...
I received harsh feedback from the instructors, and even I felt deeply discouraged.
However, to me, who was feeling beaten down, the instructors ultimately gave me these warm words:
'No one can do it perfectly from the start.'
Saved by that sweet kindness, I managed to recover my flagging motivation and was able to complete the second day of
training to the end.
2. Immediate implementation of 'corrective action.' The freshness I feel precisely because of my age
At the end of the second day, just like the first day,
'an assignment for tomorrow morning'was given.
'I will absolutely not let this be a repeat of yesterday'I thought, and to immediately make up for the failure in the second day's role-play, I immediately implemented
'corrective action'
for my approach to the assignment.
I thoroughly prevented a recurrence and faced the assignment.
Taking on new challenges at this age,
and being seriously scolded and encouraged for those challenges—
it is somewhat refreshing and also makes me feel disciplined.
I don't have time to be discouraged by a failure like this.
To push forward on the path I believe in and grasp a bright future with my own hands, I want to forge ahead, even if it's a gritty process.
3. To everyone who supports me
Having an environment where I can learn in earnest like this.
I am filled with gratitude for the instructors who guide me with such care, the partner companies, and my family, starting with my beloved wife who sent me off warmly.
I am full of gratitude.
Now, I will take another step forward tomorrow!
That's all for today. Thank you for reading.
May today be a day of wonderful challenges and fruitful results for you as well!
