Bell-bottoms complete✨
I modified the pattern from the previous tapered pants to make these bell-bottoms.
You can find the previous pants here↓

Instead of a sharp bell-bottom, I went with a design closer to wide-leg pants that flares out about 2cm toward the hem.

I haven't studied fashion design, so I'm just going by intuition and feel here. I can't even draw design sketches, so I always start directly from the pattern.

Since I'm not confident in my patterns, I basted it with sheeting fabric first. This time, it was perfect on the first try! Growth!!
I bought this fabric directly from the same textile mill as the previous tapered pants! The thread and weave are truly excellent! Even though it's wool, it's light, and the weave pattern that changes depending on the angle is beautiful, almost like a living thing.
At first, I wasn't sure whether to add slits, but I wanted to see how this fabric sways and flutters, so I decided to add slits up to the knee.
I feel like adding the slits really brings out that bell🔔 effect when walking! (Self-satisfaction)

And so, it's finished!
I'm very happy with it. I'm currently making a casual jacket out of the same fabric.
My current problem is that I've bought too much fabric and can't keep up with the sewing. Japan really has so many wonderful fabrics. Hoping for a future where as many of these fabrics as possible find a home, I'll keep doing my best at the factory (company) starting tomorrow!!
