I'm still in the middle of it, but I really realized the importance of connections with people
If you treat people high-handedly just because you're the client, or
if you dump all the work on them,
'Bad relationship = no good application can be made'
It's not limited to startups, but communication with people determines the quality of the deliverables...
That kind of thing
is also true in everyday life, isn't it?
You don't want to work with people who give off a bad vibe, right?
Especially in application development, if the client side doesn't act proactively,
you'll end up being thought of as 'a client who doesn't do anything at all'...
It's not like that,
are you not putting all the burden on the engineer who is building it,
is there no misunderstanding on the other side,
it's not about having them do it because you're paying them, but
you're paying them, but you're working together.
When you act in this reverse way,
the other party also gets a good image of you, and
work goes in a virtuous cycle and moves speedily.
There are quite a lot of people who get this point wrong, and
if you come across as high-handed just because you're the customer, the engineer will lose their motivation.
Why is this person so angry?
It's strange, isn't it?
I feel like it's unique to Japan that the opinions of people who are high-handed or loud are more likely to be accepted, but truly capable people are those who are considerate.
They don't put on such airs.
While saying that,
I also check carefully
to make sure I'm not being high-handed, or
that I'm not looking down on people compared to myself. I check it thoroughly.
Of course,
if there are parts I don't like, I will point them out in a review, but
that's because I want to make something good.
Just that.
Well, even so, a president also needs some poison,
what should I say, a selfish or self-centered part.
Rather than that,
people who are going to become owner-presidents have a unique atmosphere to begin with, or rather, everyone is selfish.
Of course, they do what they want to do, try various things—in that sense, they have an adventurous spirit, or rather—maintaining the status quo is boring, isn't it.
It's the same for freelancers, too.
To succeed in business, treat everyone equally.
This is the
universal law for success.
If you have a good personality,
various people will help you,
and your business and life will circulate in a good way.
Business is like a job of finding common ground, and when you are looking for such common ground, your usual personality counts for a lot.
Well, just having a good personality isn't enough to succeed, but changing your attitude depending on the person will make you untrustworthy.
Besides, everyone has their own unique character from the start, so you should just be yourself with confidence!
After that, whether you succeed or not depends on luck.
