わしゃ詩らんけど１（みえるものみえないもの）：“Things Seen, Things Unseen”

世の中には

みえるものとみえないもの、ごぶごぶでなりたっている

とすると

みえないほうには かみさまや ほとけさまがいる

そういうせかいを たいせつにしてみたら

いま にほんでたいへんなもんだいは

すこしは なんとかなるのかもしれない

じんこうげんしょう、ちいきじち、しぜんさいがい

じんじゃにいって、おさいせんをせんえんくらいいれて

おねがいしてみてはどうだろう？

おせんこうをたいて、ごせんぞさまにおたべになっていただいてみてはどうだろう

じぶんやじぶんのちいさな、みのまわりだけのさいふをこやすことを

すこしこらえてみてはどうだろうか

✨ English Version (Poetic Rendering)

There are things we see and things we cannot see. Half and half, that is how the world stands.

In the unseen half, perhaps gods and gentle spirits live. If we cared for that world just a little more, maybe the troubles of Japan would soften too.

A shrinking population, tired towns, storms and disasters.

What if we went to a shrine and offered a small prayer? What if we lit incense for those who came before us?

What if, just for a moment, we stopped trying to fill only our own pockets and tended to the world around us instead.
