After 3 months.
It is hard to believe that nearly three months have passed since I last wrote.
I often think that the busyness of real life and the motivation to write are inversely proportional.
Well, speaking of things that have changed in the last three months,
my surname has changed.
Why are there so many procedures just for getting married?
City hall, the bank, the police station... I went from place to place submitting documents.
While I was shouldering the burden of being the one to change my name, I couldn't help but envy my husband, who didn't have to do anything.
And speaking of surnames, my husband's surname has a rather unusual pronunciation.
So, I have never met anyone who guessed the correct pronunciation on the first try without me telling them.
And I probably never will.
And I have already been mispronounced.
In fact, I am still being mispronounced.
At first I corrected people, but lately it's become too tedious to bother.
In the first place, 80% of the people at my workplace call me by my first name, so there is no way my new surname will ever stick.
My maiden name went better with my first name (in terms of sound), so while I still feel a bit of discomfort with my new surname, I spend my days forcing myself to imprint, "My name is [Name]!!"
Yes, even I haven't fully gotten used to it yet. It will take at least a few more months.
This new surname I have received.
I want to cherish it so that I never get a divorce. lol
Because I never want to go through that rush of paperwork again.
