This is a book I bought purely because of the cover.
I absolutely loved the cover art.
The illustrations were by Takayo Nishimura, and the art direction was by Kaoru Takino.

Also, when I looked inside, there were illustrations.
The illustrations are by Aketara Shirome.
For some reason, I couldn't stop reading this book, and even though it was quite thick,
I finished reading it before I knew it.
I've been a working professional for several years now, and the content of this book was a great opportunity to look back on the education I received in school.
At the same time, I think it provided major hints for the learning that will continue from here on out.
There were many things I had taken for granted and never thought about, as well as systems and ways of thinking, where I realized what the people who first thought of them or adopted them were thinking. And I realized how they have been passed down to the present day.
I felt that a lot.
There were also philosophical discussions, and while I had been indifferent to such things before, I found many of them interesting as I read.
It has become one of the books I want to reread periodically.
