From Cerebral Hemorrhage to Icing.

Mi-chan, an elementary school student,
was a child who was easily influenced by everything.

If she watched women's professional wrestling,
she would seriously think, "I'm going to stand in that ring too."

If she saw an idol,
she would be ready to make her debut.

And then, she encountered it.

"Silver Romantic... Wahaha."

There was a word I learned for the first time in that manga.

Quadruple.

A quadruple jump.

To spin four times in the air,
it's just not humanly possible.

But the characters in the story were
quietly and earnestly pursuing it as a "technique to compete with the world."

It wasn't a sports drama filled with sweat and tears.
But it wasn't a joke, either.

Even while laughing "wahaha,"

they were truly serious.

That atmosphere pierced the heart of my elementary school self.

I thought it as a matter of course.

"I'll do it too."

(Even though I can't.)

And then, decades passed.

I didn't become a figure skater, and I can't jump a quadruple either. In fact, I trip over the slightest bump in the carpet 🤣🤣🤣

But.

One day, I hit an incredible wall called a cerebral hemorrhage.

It felt less like a fall and more like being blown right off the rink.

Everything was spinning, I didn't know what had happened, and I couldn't stand up.

I felt like I was lying on the ice, thinking, 'I failed.'

But you know what?

Here I am, laughing.

It's not a perfect landing. I'm a bit wobbly. My left leg doesn't do what I want it to, either.

Even so.

I am standing.

I can't jump a quadruple, but I've lived quite a life, and I feel like I've stuck the landing in my own way.

Landing after a cerebral hemorrhage.

There are point deductions. There are no bonus points.

But it's not a fall.

There are landings that only those who have fallen can achieve.

Hahaha.
