I don't need hand warmers anymore. — X Shelter, the cold-weather gear

Since I'm an electrician,
I often go to WORKMAN
for tools and work clothes.

In the same way that everyone else
goes to Uniqlo or Shimamura,
for me, it's WORKMAN.

Even if it's not work clothes,
like long johns,
you know, the stuff you wear under your regular clothes,
I buy those things there all the time.

I think that's probably because
they are made for people
who work out on job sites.

That's why
they are incredibly functional.

What was written on the tag was,
'Wearable insulation'.

Wait, this is clothing, right?
It's not a house wall, is it?
I thought for a second.

There were diagrams too,
and the numbers were impressive.

But,
this didn't just suddenly become high-tech; I think it's the result
of accumulating the experiences of people who are always on-site,
dealing with 'being cold,' 'getting stuffy,' and 'not being able to move.'

And that's how it leads to the X Shelter, I realized.

I own a down jacket.
A proper one.

But you know,
it's thick, heavy,
and somehow I still feel cold.

In winter, my joints
get into a terrible state.

So I always
stuck hand warmers on my stomach and back,
living my life carrying hand warmers.

But once I switched to this,
first of all, it's light.

The winter that used to be
heavy and bulky
is no longer bulky.

Above all,
the moment you put it on, it's warm.

Before I knew it,
I didn't need hand warmers anymore.

Honestly, it's a godsend.

I'm amazed
they managed to make something this incredible.

And you know,
it's cool,
and it looks good too.

If it were just about the functionality,
I wouldn't be this impressed.

My body feels at ease,
my spirits are lifted,
and I don't look bad when I check the mirror.

I don't need hand warmers anymore.
