Self-Introduction
Come to think of it, I realized I had been posting articles without even taking the time to write a self-introduction,
so I decided to write one.
Nami is my name.
Born in February 1982.
Originally from Kyoto, currently living in Ishikawa Prefecture.
I live in a household of five: my husband, my daughter who is a college freshman (as of 2026), my daughter who is a high school freshman, and my son who is in the fifth grade.
I work part-time in customer service and sales at a store somewhere.
How is my relationship with my husband, who is nine years my senior...? Average, I suppose? There are things I like about him, things that annoy me, and things I rely on him for—it's a mix. ☺️
When I actually sat down to write a "self-introduction," it didn't progress very well,
and in fact, I first thought about writing this at the beginning of March (lol).
I was struggling with what to write.
Or rather, the content kept jumping from one thing to another.
Also, I don't seem to be very good at bullet points or speaking concisely...
So, please bear with my story. 😊
What writing means to me
When I was in the upper grades of elementary school, my father gave me a word processor called "Shoin" and asked, "Do you want to use this?"
If you thought, "I remember that!!", then we are kindred spirits. 🥳
Drafting on loose-leaf paper → making a clean copy on the word processor
—even as a child, this became my hobby.
During summer vacation homework in my sixth year of elementary school,
my teacher told me, "You can write a story instead of a book report if you like," and what I ended up with was arip-off homage-like story of Castle in the Sky. Submitting that was the first work I ever finished in my life.
I don't have any glorious memories of the teacher praising it or winning an award for it.
However, as all you noters know, writing is
difficult to "finish." Experiencing that while still in elementary school has become the core of who I am. Since then, I wrote various things during breaks and even during class (oops 💦) in junior high and high school, but I went on to university without ever really thinking about publishing them or becoming a professional.
During my university days, I had a friend draw illustrations and sold a self-published copy book at Comiket... well, an unknown amateur like me couldn't sell anything.
(Though I'm sure there were one or two eccentric people who bought it.)
After that, I drifted apart from that friend, met my husband, and somehow, here I am today.
Even so, I want to express myself!
I had always written just for my own enjoyment or posted on some diary site to organize my feelings, but as I got busy with parenting and work, and as the number of children increased, I stopped doing it.
The trigger that made me strongly want to put my thoughts out into the world was encountering "IDOLiSH7."
I would write in a memo app, take a screenshot, and upload it to Twitter.
Part of it was that it was easier to let go of things using a tool that allowed for easy tweeting.
"It doesn't matter if no one sees it. I'm going to express my feelings!"
and
"I'm happy to get likes! I wonder if more people can see it?"
—the mindset of balancing these two might have grown over these past few years.
Why did I start note?
It is clearly due to the influence of the former blue bird site.
Originally, I was concerned that my thoughts and impressions would just flow away, but when it really became difficult to use, I remembered that Haruichi from Porno Graffitti uses note.
I registered for note in the autumn of 2023.
At first, I thought I would write and postimpressions about my entertainment hobbies. But that winter, the content I was posting began to change.
It was about my second daughter, who was in junior high at the time, and her
school refusal, attending a separate room, and irregular school attendance.
What do I want to do by writing on note?
From there, I thought, I will write everything I am thinking and post it on note.
In other words, note is my bookshelf of thoughts, so to speak.
I hope you will pick up and look through the magazines of my various interests, concerns, and emotions.
If you read them and get to know my story.
Yes,
I want you to know me.
I want you to know about me.
Self-introduction is self-organization
Honestly, I've been posting articles without really thinking about what I want to do, so this is as far as I've gotten for now.
I had never thought about what it means to write, so it was quite difficult 💦
Along the way, I thought, wouldn't it be fine to just introduce my hobbies?
But once I entered the labyrinth of "what writing means to me,"
I didn't want to escape. 😌
Writing is fun after all! 😆
SNS
Currently, only X. No, I have a Bluesky account with the same name, but it's inactive...
Also,X has a lot ofimpulsive impressions and words regarding my hobbies.
Since I tweet much more reflexively than in my note articles, there may be times when you feel like my personality is different.
What are my hobbies?
Novels
I repurchased the Mizuiro Magatama series in paperback. I've finished reading up to the latest in the
Twelve Kingdoms series, Shirogane no Oka, Kuro no Tsuki. I haven't been able to keep up with
Kino's Journey lately, but I've read almost all of the
Nisio Isin series. I even have signed copies.
Manga
CLAMP, Arina Tanemura, Natsuki Takaya, Yuu Watase, Hiromu Arakawa, Yoshiyuki Nishi, Yusei Matsui
I tend to follow an author once I start liking their work.
Music
Porno Graffitti
(I've been in their fan club since I was a university student),
Kenshi Yonezu
(I've been listening to him since his Hachi days).
Voice Actors
Akira Ishida, Hikaru Midorikawa, Tomokazu Seki, Daisuke Namikawa
, people I've followed since my childhood and student days, plus
Yusuke Shirai
Yusuke Shirai
whom I became obsessed with a few years ago (fan letters, birthday presents, YouTube channel membership, everything...
a first in my life).
Games
Console games
I don't really play them anymore. "FF7" (though my memory is fading...), ".hack// series".
Smartphone games
"Chain Chronicle", "IDOLiSH7", "A3!", "Touken Ranbu", "Hypnosis Mic". Well... I play them on and off, but I haven't deleted them.
Watching Sports (TV)
Figure skating
I've been following it since the Nagano Olympics. But I haven't been able to watch it properly for the last two years... My favorite former competitors are Nobunari Oda and Philippe Candeloro. I also liked Yukari Nakano among the female skaters.
Swimming competitions
I watch them if there's a world championship. I don't have any particular favorite athletes, though.
What is the photo in your icon?
It's this one.

Green hoodie, this is a hoodie from MIDORI, a brand launched by Yusuke Shirai. It's designed so that those who know will recognize it at a glance.
The orange coin case I have is a benefit from the Porno Graffitti fan club.
If you look at the
green, orange, and yellow here, they represent the colors of my favorite characters from "IDOLiSH7": green for Yamato Nikaido, orange for Mitsuki Izumi (who is often in a trio with Yamato), and yellow for Nagi Rokuya. That is what they are.
Furthermore, a
yellow ballpoint pen, pink candy, and a die. These three represent the three members of my favorite division (meaning group) in "Hypnosis Mic," "Fling Posse."
A profile picture as perfect as the golden ratio✨
I think it will probably stay the same for the rest of my life.
Well then, I'm almost reaching three thousand characters, so I will wrap things up here for now✨
Other profile-like episodes are also compiled in this magazine.
I'll make a site map for the other introductions eventually😅
Thank you for reading☆
I would be happy if you liked it♡
I get excited if you leave a comment♪
To those who saw my profile thinking, "A wave? I'm curious," would you like to... follow me?
See you later(◍•ᴗ•◍)
