Report on 'It Might Be Shinsuke Yoshitake Exhibition' (Kanazawa)

Although it has been a while since I went, I am finally writing this report.

I had been looking forward to this for a long time.
I was so happy that it was being held at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Ishikawa Prefecture✨✨✨

Since Shinsuke Yoshitake's picture book debut, 'It Might Be an Apple,' I haven't been able to buy every single book, but I have been following his work to some extent.

In the meantime, it seems all my children have become fans as well.
'Shall we go?'
When I asked, they all said yes, so we decided to go as a family.

Inside the venue, photography is allowed except for some parts!
(Video works are not allowed)
So there are lots of photos this time!

I mean, no matter how many photos circulate,
there is no point unless you experience the impact of the real thing!!!

If it is held near you in the future,
you should definitely go!!

You absolutely must go!!

It was posted on the wall right after entering the entrance.

I braced myself and proceeded, thinking I had to see every single corner right from the start.

The walls of the exhibition venue were made of wood, giving it a bit of a construction site feel.

With construction floodlights for lighting,
perhaps because he comes from a background in three-dimensional art, the atmosphere was unique.

And in the midst of all that, sticky notes were placed here and there.

I couldn't miss them!!!

I was so curious about what was inside the paper bags💦

A little detour here

This was my first time seeing the 'Kaburimono' (Headgear) series, and I didn't want to move because of its darkness and the coolness of its design. So cool!! I love it!!

Memo pads displayed in Ziploc bags

So many sketches that they look like they might reach the ceiling!!!

I could watch them forever, and I did.

I might have been the most excited one there.
No, it was me.

A4 copy paper inside Ziploc bags,
and since they were small, some were enlarged for the exhibition.
I knew that Shinsuke Yoshitake usually writes in small letters, but seeing it for real was so fun that I kept staring at them.✨

I was happy because it felt like I understood a little bit of what's inside Yoshitake-san's head.

Yes, when I realized the exhibition was coming to an end, I
went back to the sketches
and looked at them one more time.

I could spend the whole day there✨

It's just the best to be able to understand a part of someone's way of thinking when you like them✨

The exhibition catalog is a must.
I actually wanted a plushie, but I have so many plushies at home... I can't bring any more home...

Instead, I picked up a keychain✨
Since we get more lost people at work during this season, I thought I could use this ballpoint pen and this keychain to help them out✨

I currently have it attached to my work pouch.

Over the years, I've become a bit more relaxed about that sort of thing, and
even if someone says something, I'm thinking of saying,
'It's for helping lost people (｀･ω･´)' lol

So thick-skinned🤣
