A 'Mental Chant' for When Someone's Words Feel Like They're Crushing Your Spirit ๐
Whether at work, at school, or in conversations with mom friendsโ
Aren't there times when you hear something that makes you go, 'Huh?'
Like 'helpful' (but not really helpful) advice, or
comments that are meant to one-up you, even if they aren't malicious.
The more serious you are, the more you take those words to heart,
and your spirit feels like it's sinking...
For times like that!
I recommend the following steps ๐ชโจ
๐ชท Mental Chant Steps ๐
โ First, give a little smile~ โบ๏ธ
โก Respond gently with, 'Is that so?' or 'I see.'
โข While keeping that smile on your face, chant this in your heart ๐
'Huh? ๐'
'So what? ๐'
'That's just your opinion, isn't it? ๐'
'That has nothing to do with me! ๐'
โฃ And finally, keep that smile going โจ
'Thank you very much ๐โจ'
Don't disrupt the atmosphere, and don't let your own heart be disrupted either โจ
People's words are just
spoken through their own 'ruler' of measurement.
I don't think it's the same standard used to measure your value or your efforts.
So, you don't have to take it all in โบ๏ธ
'Chant it and let it go' is just about right.
During the morning assembly at work, I suddenly thought,
'Can't the heart also be strengthened by a morning chant??'
I thought, haha ๐
Let's keep our hearts smiling and in balance with a chant ๐ซถ
To everyone working hard today,
'You don't have to take everything so seriously,' 'Mental defense is important!'
I hope this brings you some laughter and peace of mind ๐โจ
