Misaki Tuna Ticket: Encountering Harsh Nature and a Warm Motherly Figure
So, where should I go for my next day off?
As I was surfing the net thinking that 🏄♂️
Let's go on a little trip for a great deal with the "Misaki Tuna Ticket"!
...A little... trip!
And so, I arrived in
Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture!

Took a direct train from Shinagawa Station to "Misakiguchi Station"
Regarding the "Misaki Tuna Ticket"
I used this time,
I'll introduce it a little at the end
First, I arrived and immediately took a bus
to "Urari Marche"

True to the name Tuna Ticket,
there were many products featuring tuna
Chunks of tuna, tuna buns,
tuna croquettes, tuna jerky... and so on
Tuna can become anything,
a new discovery for me
At Urari Marche, where fresh fish are lined up,
I visited "Ya-jirushi" right after entering
As I was looking at the fish,
they taught me various things about the products.
"You just got here, so go look around at the others first," said
a very warm motherly woman

I walked around the whole place
and came back to the original entrance
"Did you look around?"
"Yes! Everything looks delicious, but it's not good to carry it around all day, is it..."
"Where are you going from here?"
From there,
where I was going, whether I had decided on a place to eat,
that since it's raining today, you can't see the bottom from the boat,
and that that shop is closed today
and so on; she was truly like a mother to me,
and just 20 minutes after arriving, I felt glad I had come here
"There's a timetable, so take a picture of it before you go,"
she said as she sent us off.
It seems the mother's shop closes at 3:00 PM,
so my friend and I agreed to come back by 3:00 PM.
We headed toward Jogashima.

It was a day of intermittent rain,
and since the wind was strong, we gave up on umbrellas and walked in the rain.
We arrived at Jogashima and came to "Ikeda,"
a seafood bowl restaurant right by the bus stop.
Because it's a participating store for the Misaki Tuna Ticket,
I showed my ticket and received a 0-yen receipt.

Even though we had already paid for the ticket,
it was definitely a great deal for a tuna bowl.
It was quite filling,
and we left the shop with full stomachs.
The next place we headed to was
Umanose Domon (Horse's Back Cave Gate) 🐎

It seems there was a route to get there, but we couldn't find it,
and after asking Google-sensei,
we walked in a straight line over the seaside rocks, where there was no path.

Who said this was a path?
Sensei said it would take 10 minutes on foot,
but I think it felt like 30 minutes.
On the way,
complaining things like, "Google-sensei, did you really walk here?!"
we kept walking over the pathless rocks, using the rock with a hole in it that looked like a horse in the distance as our landmark.

There was scenery we only encountered because of that,
so in the end, I was grateful to Sensei.
I will continue to follow Sensei from here on out.
In the meantime,
it was 2:00 PM.
Wait, the mother is going to go home!!
We hurried back to the bus stop and
ran to Urari Marche again.
But the shop was already closed...
However,
to my surprise, the mother had waited for us (crying).
Saying, "I thought you weren't coming anymore," she
brought out the items we said we wanted to buy.
But let me say one thing:
it was only 2:40 PM, mother.
But the fact that she waited for us, and
"How was it? Where did you eat?"
"I was wondering about you!"
the fact that she talked to us like that made me happy.
Once we finished our shopping, the mother had already
gone home before we knew it (lol).
She really did wait for us.
Thank you, mother.
From there, we headed to
Miurakaigan Station to see the sunset.
By this point, the rain had already stopped.
We were surprised when we arrived at Miura Beach.

The sun was setting in the opposite direction.
Hahaha.
We thought we could see the sunset if we went to the beach,
how cute of us.
(We were idiots.)
When we looked back

It was beautifully sunsetting
on the great structures created by civilization
We decided to head home, saying, 'This is so us, isn't it?'

In any case, it ended happily,
the Misaki Maguro Ticket trip
I'll introduce the Misaki Maguro Ticket a little,
which made today a great value and fulfilling day
[Misaki Maguro Ticket]
[Price]
3,750 yen to 4,250 yen
(varies depending on the departure station, date, etc.)
[Contents]
Train & bus ticket
Maguro Manpuku (Tuna Full Stomach) Ticket
(can be used at participating restaurants)
Omoide (Memory) Ticket
(for leisure, experiences, exchanging for products, etc.)
This is a very rough introduction, so
I'd like you to look it up once
There are many participating stores, and after much hesitation,
this time I chose the tuna bowl I posted earlier
The Omoide Ticket can also be
exchanged for tuna tataki
at the aforementioned 'Ya-jirushi' shop
We got the tataki, and giving in to temptation, some marinated tuna too...
I want to eat it soon
The Misaki Maguro Ticket trip closed with great satisfaction
I really recommend it, so I hope you'll try going at least once
