Introduction

As I wrote in this article here I have an eye condition and am looking for a monitor that is easy on the eyes. After careful consideration, I believe EIZO's FlexScan (business monitor) is the best choice (I do not play PC games).

However, I find the relationship between model numbers and features difficult to understand (well, actually, I don't understand it). So, this time, I have organized and will introduce the ranks, sizes, and features of EIZO's FlexScan monitors!

Among these, the monitor I want is the business monitor, FlexScan! It is a product from a domestic manufacturer with a generous warranty, but it is quite expensive, so I get the impression that there are few reviews! Also, because the model numbers make it difficult to anticipate the features, it is hard to know which product to buy when it comes time to purchase...

Classifying FlexScan Products -> Quick Reference Guide!!

The product quick reference guide categorizes monitors by rank (generally Basic, New Standard, Premium, and FLT (Future-Leading Technology)) and also by monitor size.

Basic Rank has only the minimum necessary features. If your only goal is a monitor that is easy on the eyes, the Basic rank should be sufficient. However, the Basic rank does not have a USB Type-C port, so if you have a recent laptop that only outputs to a monitor via USB Type-C, you will need a conversion adapter! Also, the monitor resolution is the minimum, with Full HD (or Full HD+) for 24-inch models and WQHD for 27-inch models.

New Standard Rank features a rich array of connection ports such as HDMI and DisplayPort, as well as power delivery and hub functions via USB Type-C connection.

Premium Rank adds wired LAN functionality in addition to the power delivery and hub functions via USB Type-C connection. Also, 4K resolution, ultrawide monitors, and large screens of 31 inches or more are classified in this rank. Furthermore, low-resolution monitors of 27 inches or less have daisy-chain functionality, which allows you to connect multiple monitors and reduce the number of cables around your PC.

FLT (Future-Leading Technology) Rank is a rank that is more environmentally friendly than ever before. However, the current reality is that the performance and features of the monitors themselves are low. In the future, the technology cultivated through FLT development will likely be used in other ranks.
