Background of the event
Since an article's header image is the first thing a reader sees, you want to put as much effort into it as you do the body text, right?
note already has a feature called "Everyone's Photo Gallery," but in December 2020, we partnered with the graphic design platform "Canva," making it possible to use images designed in Canva directly as note header images.
Since this collaboration began, over 6,000 article header images have already been designed using Canva. For this event, we have invited Canva's Country Manager, Mr. Ueyama, to teach us how to create "header images" in a fun way!
We also plan to introduce tips for designing header images on note from note designer Kawaida.
If you always struggle with header images or feel uncomfortable creating images, why not try using Canva to create your own original note header images?

Shuji Ueyama
Canva Japan Country Manager
Engaged in growth for multiple countries at Dropbox and others. Started working at Canva in 2019 while moving from Tokyo to Sydney, and is in charge of growth in Japan. Alongside his work, he has authored two books for business people on analysis and Excel usage, and has published two courses on Udemy. Graduated from Globis Management School in 2011 and obtained an MBA. He is also an athlete who won 45 domestic and international BMX (bicycle racing) competitions over 12 years starting in 1994. Currently enjoys bouldering and life with his family.

Yoshitaka Kawaida

After working as a designer at a record company and an advertising agency, he worked as a freelance designer based in Berlin. In Berlin, he used multiple co-working spaces with his programmer brother and participated in numerous hackathons, developing a strong interest in the startup world and UI/UX design. After returning to Tokyo and working as a designer at a creative agency, he joined note in November 2018. While belonging to the note improvement team, he is gradually implementing improvements from a branding perspective by utilizing his experience as a graphic designer.
