At note, we are inviting literary editors to hold a session where they "talk all about their favorite books of the year"!talk all about their favorite books of the year!

Our guests are Jun Kobayashi (KADOKAWA, works edited include Tomihiko Morimi's "The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl"), Ai Taniguchi (Shueisha, works edited include Mio Adachi's "Kinmokusei to Meteora"), and Tomoko Hanada (Bungeishunju, works edited include Keigo Higashino's "The Devotion of Suspect X"). They will share their recommended books and how they enjoy reading.

Jun Kobayashi

Born in Osaka in 1975. Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Engineering. Joined Kadokawa Shoten in 2002. After working in the Book Editorial Department, Yasei Jidai Editorial Department, and as Editor-in-Chief of Hon no Tabibito, he is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Literary Hardcover Editorial Department 1. Works he has edited include Tomihiko Morimi's "The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl" and "The Tatami Time Machine Blues," Manabu Makime's "Babel Kyusaku," Hiroyuki Kurokawa's "Hamon," and Keiki Kadoi's "Ginkaku no Hito."

Ai Taniguchi
Literary Editorial Department, Shueisha Inc.

Born in Saitama in 1983. Joined Shueisha in 2005. After working for women's magazines, she moved to the Literary Editorial Department. She mainly edits novel hardcovers. Born in Nagasaki in 1966. Graduated from the University of Tokyo, College of Arts and Sciences. Joined Bungeishunju in 1988. She has been mainly involved in literary editing, serving as Editor-in-Chief of Bessatsu Bungeishunju, Director of the Second Literary Department, and Editor-in-Chief of Bunshun Bunko. She is currently the General Manager of the Bunshun Bunko Department.
Works she has edited include Keigo Higashino's "The Devotion of Suspect X," Eto Mori's "Kaze ni Maiagaru Vinyl Sheet," Yusuke Kishi's "The Lesson of Evil," and Kanae Minato's "Hana no Kusari."
