On Monday, June 16, we will hold a talk event featuring Kaoru Ariga and Mami Imai: "Self-Production Techniques for Those Who Want to Make Cooking Their Career," followed by a networking session. We look forward to seeing you there.
We will be joined by soup writer Kaoru Ariga and culinary expert Mami Imai, both of whom are active in publishing, serial writing, and media appearances, to discuss "Important things that aspiring culinary experts should keep in mind." We plan to have them share their insights.
After the talk event, we will provide time at the physical venue for attendees to network with our two guests and fellow creators. This is a great chance to speak directly with Ms. Ariga and Ms. Imai.

Background of the event
For the currently ongoing "Creative Awards 2025" #Food Category, we have updated the application requirements this year to provide more opportunities for food creators to make their debut.
・In addition to recipes, submissions of food essays are now accepted
・Recipe entries now require the submission of 3 or more recipes under the same theme
The background behind changing the application requirements, especially for recipe entries, is our desire to "meet creators who can remain active long after their debut." as our motivation.
Therefore, we have decided to host this event by inviting Kaoru Ariga and Mami Imai, who have built their careers by writing about recipes and their daily thoughts in their own words, to discuss in detail the important mindset for continuing to be active as a culinary expert.

Speaker Profiles
Kaoru Aruga
Soup writer. She began posting the soups she made to wake up her son every morning on social media. She has created over 3,500 soups in 10 years. Currently, she shares ideas on home cooking that go beyond just recipes, focusing on simple soups that eliminate the hesitation in cooking, as well as kitchens, cooking tools, and philosophies on cooking. Her book "Even if I'm late coming home, I think I can make this soup" (Bunkyosha) won the 5th Recipe Book Award, and "Soup Bento you can make in 10 minutes in the morning" (Magazine House) won the 7th Recipe Book Award. Other works include "Soup Lesson" (President Inc.), "Kaoru Aruga's Tonjiru Revolution" (Ie no Hikari Association), and "My Delicious Miso Soup" (Shinsei Publishing).

Mami Imai
Born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, and currently resides in Tokyo. Her recipes and essays on note, as well as her social media posts, have gained support from a wide range of people. She creates recipes and writes for a diverse range of media, including magazines, websites, and corporate advertisements. Her unique dishes, which use familiar ingredients in new combinations, are highly regarded as "flavors you know but don't know" and "dishes that make cooking fun and make you want to make them again and again."
Her books include "New Everyday Cooking: A Spoonful of 'Surprise' for Usual Ingredients" (KADOKAWA), "So I Can Sleep Thinking It Was a Good Day: My Meals for Myself" (Sayusha), "Cooking and Every Day: 12 Months of Kitchen Notes" (CCC Media House), "Frying Pan Fantasia" (Ie no Hikari Association), and the picture books "First Cooking: Rice" and "First Cooking: Tomato" (both from Fukuinkan Shoten), among many others.
