Scone Party with TEA
I love scones. Scones served with tea, topped with so much clotted cream and jam that you might wonder if it's too much.
My love for them grew to the point where I took afternoon tea lessons to learn how to make scones and spent a period baking them at home using various recipes.
That said, I haven't had many opportunities to eat scones lately, and my favorite shops are far from home, so even though I love them, I had almost forgotten about the very existence of scones. Just then, I got a message from my sister.
"It's that time of year again for the Scone Party!"
We invite you, who love scones more than anything, to a special party.
A Scone Party with TEA featuring a lineup of scones, teas, and chais from popular brands!!
I just had to go!
It's an event I couldn't attend last year because the schedule didn't work out.
This time, I aligned it with my day off from work and headed out to join the fray.
Scones made with pesticide-free or organic wheat, cultured butter, carefully selected ingredients, and rice flour.
A number of shops filled with carefully crafted items are lined up.
But the trouble is, all the scones look the same.
Relying only on my sister's prior information and my intuition, I bought a few scones from the shops that caught my eye.
While waiting in line, it was fun to see some shops where they were kneading, cutting, and baking scones right in front of us. It was a lively scene through the glass, and I was enchanted by the scent of butter.
The smell of wheat and butter baking brings such an incredible sense of happiness.
The venue was filled with the smiles of people who love scones (women carrying multiple paper bags!! lol), and it was such a fun time.
Returning home and sorting them into those to freeze and those to eat today or tomorrow was also exciting.
(I didn't prefer the flashy, photogenic scones, so it ended up being a collection of simple ones.)

In addition, I bought chai from a chai specialty shop (two types of tea bags), chai donuts, vanilla tea, and a vegan lemon cake.

The magic of being able to create a lump of happiness with just wheat, butter, cane sugar, and salt.
In a daily life that passes by busily, it's nice to have something that acts like a little spice, no matter how small.
For me right now, that is 'scones and tea' 🫖
Let's reheat them and savor the happiness.
A while ago, I was convinced it had to be coffee! Now, days with tea have increased. For more details, see this article ↓
The Scone Party is being held until Monday, September 16th.
Thank you for reading until the end.
