[Days 18-21] 19 years as a hairdresser, hitting an 'all-time high' on the final business day of the year. The reason I couldn't write on note for 4 days.
On Day 17, I wrote about facing my 'anger' at an NLP seminar.
And until today, for 4 days, I couldn't write on note.
I was so busy that I couldn't make any progress on my 'Hair Medication Notebook'.
However,
on the final business day of the year, I achieved my highest sales and number of appointments ever.
The peak of the year-end rush
These past 4 days, I was truly, incredibly busy.
The end of the year is the busiest time for hair salons.
Everyone wants to have beautiful hair before welcoming the New Year,
so reservations flood in.
My schedule was packed from morning until night.
Coloring, cuts, gray hair blending, treatments—
I was so busy attending to customers that I didn't even have time to catch my breath.
Time to write on note, or even time to think about my 'Hair Medication Notebook',
honestly, I didn't have it.
Regular clients, long-time-no-see clients
Over these 4 days, so many customers came to see me.
Customers who come specifically to see me. Customers who came back after a long time.
"I wanted to ask you, Eriko-san," "I've been interested in you for a long time."
Every time I receive words like that,
I realize that they trust me.
I felt it firsthand.
Achieved an all-time high on the final business day of the year
And then, December 21st.
The final business day of the year.
On this day,
I achieved my highest monthly sales and number of appointments ever.
After 19 years as a hairstylist and 8 years as a sole proprietor,
this is the best it's ever been.
Honestly, I was surprised.
And,
I was incredibly happy.
This is also thanks to my customers
This result is not due to my efforts alone.
It is thanks to the many customers who trusted me.
I have faced each and every customer with care.
Through the technique of gray hair blending, I have been proposing ways to 'make the most of gray hair' rather than 'hiding gray hair'.
That accumulation of effort is what has led to today's results.
Truly, I have nothing but gratitude.
Thank you very much.
I couldn't make any progress on the 'Hair Medication Notebook', but
For these past four days, I haven't been able to make any progress on the 'Hair Medication Notebook'.
I do feel a sense of impatience.
'I decided to make it in 260 days,' 'It's already been over 20 days'
However,
the four days I spent facing my customers were not in vain.
Because my main job as a hairdresser is fulfilling, the passion to create the 'Hair Medication Notebook' also wells up.
And, while talking with customers,
'This really is necessary, after all'
I realized that once again.
After finishing the final business day of the year
The final business day of the year has ended.
I was able to close out 2024 with the best results ever.
This past year, supported by so many customers,
And, having been able to start a new challenge called the 'Hair Medication Notebook',
It has been a fulfilling year.
Next year, I will continue to move forward, one step at a time.
Starting tomorrow, I will continue working on my 'Hair Medication Notebook'.
