1 Hour per Row & Mulch | Dad's Home Garden | 2-7-15

Alright, today is for rows & mulch (it does have a ring to it, not unlike some idol group name).

Items to bring:
Pre-punched mulch x3
Scissors
Mulch fasteners
Tape measure (a measuring tape, that is)
Disposable chopsticks
String
Come to think of it, everything is from the 100-yen shop.

I've decided to make three rows along the long side of a 3m x 5m plot. Standing in the center of the 3m side, from the right, it will be:
30cm margin
60cm right row
30cm row spacing
60cm center row
30cm row spacing
60cm left row
30cm margin
It's very hard to understand in words. After typing it out, I realized once again that diagrams are great. By the way, I briefly thought about drawing the plan in JW CAD, but decided no, this is a mental-level task, so I didn't make one.

I'll level the surface of the row using a board and a shovel like a trowel. Then, I'll cover it with mulch and pile soil around the edges.

It's already taken over an hour to get this far. And even though it's chilly weather, I'm hot...

The second one is finally finished. At this point, the thought crossed my mind that the third one could wait until tomorrow, but I forced myself to get up and finish this tedious work today.

Phew... the end turned into a battle with the bathroom, but I managed to finish the work just in time. I'll pack up my things and head home...

When I got home, it had been well over three hours since I left. It really takes quite a bit of time.

Now, what should I plant??
