The Path to Achieving 1 Million Yen in 9 Months and Building a Track Record of Over 50 Million Yen

I am often asked, "Why did you choose 'Entame' as your handle name?" Actually, there is a deep meaning behind it. I chose the name 'Entame' with the intention of "valuing connections (En) with people and sharing useful (Tame) information." Thank you for your support.

In May 2008, I was laid off from my job. I had changed jobs after getting married to increase my income, but I was laid off just three months later.

The reason was the poor performance of the Hokkaido branch. I was furious inside, thinking, "If that was the case, you shouldn't have hired me in the first place!"

For a newlywed like me, this layoff became a life-altering event. This is because it forced me to seriously consider whether to look for another job or start my own business.

While job hunting, I realized I wanted to work full-time in affiliate marketing, so I told my wife about what I wanted to do.

Naturally, she was angry, saying, "Huh? What are you talking about?" Can you even make a living?

However, I desperately wanted to acquire the ability to earn on my own and be freed from the fear of company bankruptcy or layoffs, so I told my wife: "If I can't reach 1 million yen in one year, I'll find another job! So, please give me just one year."

My wife reluctantly...

O-okay. Fine, just one year, she said. From that point on, I dedicated every moment outside of sleeping, eating, and bathing to affiliate marketing.

I spent over 12 hours a day studying and practicing.

The result... At first, I couldn't get any results at all, and my wife would ask me repeatedly, "When will you be able to earn money?" I felt so frustrated that I would often "soak my pillow with tears in the middle of the night." But I always vowed to myself that I would absolutely earn 1 million yen within a year and prove her wrong!

Thanks to my massive daily efforts, I achieved 1 million yen in 9 months. Because of that, I didn't need to change jobs, and I have now been working as a professional web writer for over 12 years.

Let me share some of my blog traffic and Twitter achievements with you.

The catalyst for my initial success was

trend affiliate marketing. This is a method of earning through AdSense by quickly writing articles about topics like celebrities to gather traffic.

Within two months of launching my blog, I created a site that attracted 1,000 visitors a day, achieved 10,000 yen in earnings, and reached 20,000 yen in three months. Normally, if I were earning 20,000 yen, I would continue to grow my AdSense revenue, but I shifted to information product affiliate marketing.

The reason was, "Information product affiliate marketing has a higher unit price, and I was also thinking about challenging myself with content sales later on."

In fact, information product affiliate marketing was a perfect fit for me.

I drove traffic from my blog to the first email sequence I ever created and successfully sold over 50 low-priced information products.

I succeeded in gathering over 800 new subscribers with my first free report, and through subsequent offers, I achieved 100,000 yen per month.

To achieve results in information product affiliate marketing, it is easier to get results if you first build some kind of track record, even a small one, in a specific niche, and then promote related information products.

In my case, I practiced with blog affiliate marketing materials,

achieved 1,000 daily visits and 20,000 yen in monthly revenue with AdSense, and then used that method as a bonus to promote information product affiliate marketing.

Then, I challenged myself with PPC affiliate marketing, earned 200,000 yen in the first month, promoted PPC affiliate marketing information products, and continued to grow my results one after another until I reached 1 million yen.

I also created and sold consulting products as my own offerings.
However, looking back now, it wasn't all smooth sailing.

There were times when I created and sold consulting products and had zero sales.

"Wow, seriously? This is a total failure."I felt discouraged, but I found areas for improvement in my own way, and when I offered the consulting product again a month later, I secured "50 sign-ups." What I felt at that time was that even if you fail in online business, you don't end up with a huge debt, and it is easy to try again and again.

In fact, I have created and released many products myself so far. Some products sold over 1,700 copies, while others failed to sell even 10. However, I feel that because I failed so many times, the number of my successes has also increased.

If you don't take any action, you will never fail, but you will also never succeed. In other words, the more failures you have, the more successes you will have. There are many different types of know-how in the world. However, there are many cases where you don't know if they are effective until you test them yourself. Even if you fail, if you analyze it, it can lead to success next time.

Looking back now, I feel glad that no matter how many times I failed, I didn't give up and kept repeating trial and error.

I have also done business through JVs (Joint Ventures).

To put it bluntly, there were JVs that were very successful, but there were also JVs that failed.

What I mean by failure is that I couldn't generate sales exceeding the advertising costs, resulting in a deficit. You might think of it positively as having gathered about 6,000 people, but for me, I keenly felt it was a major failure.

Even though I was invited by the other party, I chose the wrong partner, and I later reflected that I said 'Yes' too much to what they said. Basically, you should do JVs with people who have skills you don't have, and you should never partner with someone who is irresponsible and loose with time.

Personally, JVs restrict many things I want to do, so if you want to do business freely as you like, I feel it is better to basically do it alone and outsource what you cannot do yourself.

In fact, there were many people other than me who were doing JVs, but there is almost no one who is still working together with their partners today. Most have disbanded, and most of those who are successful are doing things as they like on their own.

JVs can feel a bit restrictive. Things that you could decide or fix instantly on your own require confirmation every time when there are two or three people involved. This makes it less agile, which takes time and leads to stress.

If you decide to do a JV, I recommend proceeding with a contract that is for a limited time or one that minimizes the impact on your own time.

In October 2020, I also challenged myself to publish a Kindle book.

To be honest, it was quite tough, but it was a very good experience to seriously engage with writing. Taking on new challenges requires courage and energy. However, since not many people are actually publishing Kindle books yet, I feel that doing so has helped differentiate me from competitors and has also led to an increase in credibility and trust.

I currently operate my business primarily on my own.

For things like design skills that I don't possess, I outsource.

I come up with the copy and leave the design to the professionals. By doing this, I can develop my business quite speedily. I also provide consulting to support my students, but since I provide important information as content, I am able to use my support time efficiently thanks to the content I provide.

Also, because I provide online support using Chatwork and LINE, I can support customers anywhere in the country without actually meeting them, so there is no risk of COVID-19 infection.

Currently, I am hooked on Twitter, and while researching Twitter, I am also active as a player myself. When I seriously utilized Twitter, 126 new followers increased in one day.

I also understand how to attract customers and double sales from Twitter, and I have compiled that know-how into content for sale. As a professional web writer, I create my own customer acquisition pages (email newsletter LPs) and sales letters (sales pages).

In online business, you must always get people to read your text and encourage them to take action. I learned copywriting from an early stage and gained practical experience.

At the same time, I started affiliate marketing, and almost all the people who were called top affiliate marketers have disappeared, but I have survived.

The reason I have survived is that I can write my own copy and automate customer acquisition, education, and sales. I am often asked,
"Entame-san, why do you teach so many things for free?"

The reason is that I don't want you to spend a lot of money on bad information, and I want you to know the real information. Just by registering for my official LINE account, you can actually receive content that I provide for a fee.

Moreover, just by registering for free, you will get "7 major benefits". Please register now and see for yourself how serious I am about this business.
