Even if it's small, put your dreams into words and change your destiny
It is not too late to start now.
What kind of person do you want to be?
Where do you want to go?
Who do you want to meet?
Even if it's small, try asking your heart.
Come to think of it, my life has been all about receiving.
The first move is always from the other person.
I would just move or react to what was thrown at me.
If that was very unpleasant, I at least developed the mental strength to say NO to most people as I grew, but I just felt like I was choosing my own path by doing that.
As proof, for many years, I couldn't break the habit of putting myself last because I felt uncomfortable if the person I was with didn't look happy.
What I've been thinking lately is that whether you can properly tune into what you want to do or what you like is also a matter of whether your brain is accustomed to it.
Habits of thought are scary.
Because they are unconscious.
If you live while remaining insensitive to that, your emotions will retire deep inside. If the manager (me) doesn't notice them, no one will pull them out.
When I realized it, I had become terrible at putting my heart's voice into words.
So, currently, I am in the middle of practicing verbalization.
Things I want to do.
The person I want to be.
Places I want to go.
People I want to meet.
Instead of just thinking about them, put them into words.
Writing them on note is fine, or
talking to a friend.
Talking to family.
Writing in a diary.
And above all,
try doing what you can!
Around the end of last year.
"By speaking out what you want to do, things will move in that direction."
Someone told me that, and at this timing, I was able to accept it immediately.
If it were the old me, I think I wouldn't have been able to accept those words easily, thinking,
“I only tell people when I’m sure I can do it”
or “If I say it out loud and fail, I’ll end up dragging everyone else into it.”
I would have thought that way.
I’ve tried to control my thoughts and emotions like a form of ascetic training in the places I’ve been put and the paths I’ve chosen, but
that’s not where you should be spending your energy.
I started a note.
I went to a concert I wanted to see all by myself.
I reached out to a friend I hadn't seen in 10 years.
I declared the life plan I want to achieve to my family and friends.
Those small steps will one day change my destiny.
I want to believe that.
Start with small dreams.
I’m going to make them happen one after another!
There’s no time to be lamenting.
Now, what shall I look forward to and work hard for next?
