From the SFL Opener
I woke up slowly this morning
ate a salad chicken at Subway as a half-hearted attempt at a diet
went to my one-on-one gym and took my first Pilates class
got eyelash extensions
and while I was looking at Twitter wondering what to do when I got home
it had already started.
Street Fighter League!
Although I don't play Street Fighter, I love watching it
and my passion grew so much that I started watching this Street Fighter League last year.
It's been a few days since I was surprised to hear that my favorite team, CR, would be facing Good 8 Squad in the first match
and before I knew it, the day had arrived!
I hurriedly ate dinner
and managed to watch it just in time.
Kajyu and Kawano-san, who are protecting Japan
Tiger Bon-chan and Gachikun
Shuto and Saharukun, who have finally become warriors
I watched every match with excitement and anticipation
They won safely, and I'm all smiles
But there was a match that made me just as nervous as the one with my favorite team.
It was Takagi-kun's match.
A 20-year-old young man who went from streamer to pro
I used to think it was amazing that a streamer reached Legend rank in ranked matches.
Takagi-kun, who is also the mentor of my favorite streamer, Waiwai.
At the mentor-student tournament hosted by Shaka-san, there was a moment when he was overcome with emotion after winning one match against Mago-san.
I was drawn to his dedicated way of playing, so when I heard he was participating this time, I became interested.
He was selected as the tie-breaker player, so I wondered if I might not see him today, but then Uryo-san showed his tenacity and forced a tie-breaker.
It was a feeling of mixed joy and nervousness.
The result was a victory!
Seeing him crying made my eyes well up too.
I felt a bit envious that he has something he can be so devoted to... That's how intense the match was.
CR and CAG, where Takagi-kun is, will eventually face each other.
I think I'm going to have trouble deciding who to cheer for.
The next match to watch is definitely Reject vs ZETA.
Both have the dignity of champions, so it's going to be an amazing match.
I'm happy that the days are back where I can look forward to SFL every week!
