[iRacing] SF EmperorD Cup@Suzuka
It has been a while, everyone.
I am Emperor-D, famous for getting everything wrong, from the setup to the strategy, in a crucial final race where the title was on the line (crying).
I messed up every item in the setup that I thought would be good, and my race strategy was even called mysterious and nonsensical... Just to be clear, my qualifying and race positions were decent, so it's a bit sad.
My usual bad habits came out, but enough self-deprecation...
This time, I have decided to hold an iRacing SF23 race, which I had been considering for a while but kept putting off because I was afraid no one would show up. I would like to write down the details here.
The event overview is posted at the bottom of this article, so if you want to skip this pointless introduction, please jump to the event overview from the table of contents!
Background of the event
First of all, on September 7th of this year, the SF23 was added to iRacing, which I play regularly. I bought it and started playing it that same day, but... it seemed like some people I know very well were playing it too (lol).

So, there was actually a moment around the end of September where there was an atmosphere of creating a session and having a race, but I couldn't find enough time during the season to announce it and hold a race, and two months have passed (lol). But the season finally ended, and while I was playing iRacing every day after putting my kids to sleep, Mr. Tomita poked me, asking 'When are you going to hold the race!?', so I conducted a survey and decided to hold it.
Actually, the person who posted this on social media was the one who said let's make a session! (>_<)
Well, enough with the grudges...
This is my first time hosting an iRacing race, so I have many anxieties... I'm not holding it just because I was asked, but I also had a small intention, so I'll write about it. It's not anything that grand, though.
Currently, major domestic races in Japan enter the off-season from around mid-November to late March every year. What do you all look forward to living for every day without races!? (Excuse me)
Honestly, I find every day boring without any stimulation... (lol) During the season, it's all pain, and I think, 'I wish this season would end soon.' But once it's over, it's lonely.
So, I thought it would be interesting if there were races, even if it's within iRacing, so I decided to hold one ^^/
Honestly, I don't know if I can make it fun to watch, but I hope the people driving will enjoy it, and I hope to interact with fans through the YouTube stream. Of course, as an engineer, I'll also talk about how to set up the SF23~ (lol)
Thank you all for listening to such a long, pointless story. I'll leave it at that for now and post the event overview and other details.

It is a setup for beginners to intermediate drivers. It tends to be relatively stable, so it may be difficult to get fast qualifying times.

This was the event overview for the race using the SF23.
I will also upload technical information (?) related to the SF23 for participants before the race, so I would appreciate it if you could take a look at that as well.
