The Story Behind Starting My Business

In Japan, a wage gap compared to men is currently determined the moment one is born as a woman, and there are many women who find it difficult to even earn enough to cover their own living expenses.
The reason this phenomenon occurs is that even if men and women are hired at the same rate as new graduates, there are women who are forced to give up their careers due to childbirth and child-rearing.
Having experienced childbirth and child-rearing myself, I realized the difficulty of balancing work and family life.
I believe it is perfectly natural for women to want to take a few years off from work to focus on child-rearing until their children are somewhat independent.
However, despite the fact that one's skill level does not drop drastically after being away from work for just a few years, there is a reality where it is difficult to find re-employment with the same conditions as before once you quit a full-time job.
I believe that even with a gap of several years, one could sufficiently return to their previous position by catching up on the differences caused by changes in the times or by promoting efficiency through IT tools such as AI.
As I interacted with mothers on social media, I realized that there are many highly skilled mothers who want to work but cannot.
Furthermore, even if AI replaces labor, communication aspects such as reading human nuances are areas where women excel, and in the Japan of the future, they will be a valuable resource to compensate for labor shortages. I want to unearth that vein of potential and give it back to society.
Ultimately, I want to realize a society where Japan as a whole increases its productivity, values private time, and allows people to work with peace of mind under their original conditions even if they temporarily leave work for child-rearing, nursing care, or studying abroad, regardless of gender. If we are to live 100-year lives, I believe that a transformation in how we work is essential.
