Electone Performance Video Notes: July 2025 Issue
A note reporting on Electone and electronic organ performance videos and activities from both Japan and abroad. From the perspective of someone who specializes in 'watching and listening,' I would like to record the trends, impressions, and personal notes from the past month or two (Published: July 30, 2025).
1. "Earth - The Beautiful Planet -" by Kana Koike

Performance video ⇒ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUzpQDbn7Dc
Kana Koike is a keyboardist and composer/arranger who uploads many Electone performance videos to YouTube and TikTok.
In June 2025, she uploaded an Electone performance video of "Earth - The Beautiful Planet - / Toshio Mashima" to YouTube. (*Strictly speaking, this is a re-upload.)
This piece is a masterpiece that was also performed at the Osaka/Umeda live concert (hosted by Kana) in October 2024. From the very beginning, the song makes you feel the power and grandeur of the Earth, as well as the beauty of nature, and it is refreshing to listen to.
Also, starting with this video, there is a new environment (*excluding short videos), with the camera angle directed at the Electone from the left side. This angle makes it easy to see the movement of the fingertips, which is great!
Thank you for uploading such a wonderful performance video!
2. Dajung Kim and Le Zhang appear on a Kawasaki FM program

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM, Electone player Dajung Kim and Electone player/composer/arranger Le Zhang appeared on the program "Yukky-sensei's Energetic Saturday: Wai Wai Earthling" on the community FM station "Kawasaki FM," which broadcasts in the Musashikosugi area of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
I was listening to this broadcast on internet radio, and at the end of the program right before this one, they said, 'We'll be bringing in an Electone after this...', so I was surprised to hear they would be performing live in the studio!
On the program, there were profile introductions for Ms. Jin Dajo and Mr. Zhang Le, and the performances were:
"Ben-Hur" (Performed by: Ms. Jin Dajo)
"Canon Rock" (Performed by: Mr. Zhang Le)
"Clair de Lune" (Performed by: Ms. Jin Dajo)
"It Don't Mean A Thing" (Performed by: Mr. Zhang Le)
These were the four songs. Also, between the songs, the personalities asked the two of them various questions. It was full of interesting stories about their hometowns, how they encountered music and the Electone, things they wanted to promote, and so on.
In particular, their comments about 'music that can deliver happiness' and 'wanting to provide concerts where attendees can take home some kind of motivation' were impressive.
At the end, the two talked about their future goals and dreams, and the program concluded. It was a fleeting 45 minutes.
Personally, I feel that the fact that they have come to Japan, a foreign land, to study means that their motivation and potential are already extremely high. I am very much looking forward to their future performance activities!
Thank you for the wonderful performance and the fun time!
3. From Kusumon "Kusushiki"

Performance video ⇒ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQrqhyCs8ZI
Madoka Kusumoto, also known as "Kusumon," a Yamaha Electone demonstrator. Recently, she uploaded a performance video of <Kusushiki / Mrs. GREEN APPLE> from the anime "The Apothecary Diaries."
I feel like she mentioned this during a live stream, but rather than just a performance video, it's a cool, MV-style video!
Kusumon's MV-style videos have a solid reputation, and I felt this one was of such high quality that it could be the second coming of her <Moonlight Densetsu> performance, which is at the pinnacle of domestic Electone videos!
I also thought it was great that the sound starts from the very first second of the video (← this is actually quite important, as if there isn't an impactful sound when it appears in YouTube recommendations, there's a high chance it will be skipped).
Thank you for uploading such a wonderful MV-style video!
4. Performance video I've been interested in lately: Nanami Utsumi

Performance video ⇒ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqRkE_4lE8k
I'd like to introduce a YouTube channel and a performance video that have caught my attention recently. It's the performance video of <Is Paris Burning? (Opening Theme)> on Nanami Utsumi's YouTube channel.
Actually, she had the vibe of a "mysterious Electone player in a lovely dress," and I recall that her name wasn't written on the channel in the early days.
I was wondering who she could be, and then, around the time or after her name was listed, she uploaded the performance video of <Is Paris Burning? (Opening Theme)>.
This piece is generally quiet, but it also has parts that feel powerful, giving it the sense of being a 'record of the times through music'.
While quiet songs tend not to get many views on YouTube, this performance video defied that trend and surpassed 10,000 views in about a month. Congratulations. Recently, it has become rare for someone other than a famous Electone YouTuber to surpass 10,000 views (excluding short videos).
(Note: It has surpassed 21,000 views as of the end of the month!)
Thank you for uploading such a wonderful performance video.
5. Conclusion
It feels as if summer arrived a month early, with hot days continuing since around mid-June, and now the rainy season has finally ended, marking the start of midsummer.
However, the recent extreme heat is life-threatening, so everyone should take thorough precautions against heatstroke. Let's eat delicious food, get plenty of sleep in a cool environment, and make it through this summer.
With that said, here is a somen noodle recipe to suit the summer season. ↓↓↓
See you next month!
