The woman chased the train he was on through the storm
What happens when a hard-boiled actor plays a role in a melodrama?
The second installment is the masterpiece "Falling in Love." In that era, Meryl Streep was likely the go-to choice for a refined and elegant woman. On the other hand, a film co-starring Robert De Niro, who was on a straight path of hard-boiled roles after teaming up with director Martin Scorsese, was practically guaranteed to be a masterpiece.
After telling his wife about their relationship and receiving a powerful slap, De Niro sets off for his new post feeling dejected, only to be chased by Meryl Streep, who drives through the storm to catch him. Their performances in that scene are so fleeting and sorrowful.
Recently, it seems that "Heat," which we enjoyed watching, is also popular among young people. I believe actors like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are hard-boiled actors the likes of whom we will never see again.
