The first Oppekepe Jazz Orchestra Hokkaido tour, invited by Higashikawa Town; five songs were created through my travels to and from Higashikawa.
We have successfully completed our first Oppekepe Jazz Orchestra Hokkaido tour.
This time, thanks to the coordination of Higashikawa art curator Mr. Hanada, we were invited to Higashikawa Town, and a truly large number of people came to see us.
Mr. Hanada, the staff, and everyone in Higashikawa, thank you so much. I am filled with gratitude and excitement.
It has been about 10 years since I started visiting Higashikawa, and I have been invited to perform many times, visited for fun, and even performed as a volunteer in warehouses where friends gather. Through my travels to and from Higashikawa, I have composed five songs. Since we are performing three of those songs with this band (to be precise, it might be the only band that can perform them), I am truly happy that we were able to perform them in Higashikawa.
By the way, those three songs are
Minna no Buta (Everyone's Pig),
Double Rainbow,
oh baby blues,
are the ones.
You can watch one of them here.
This is the footage from the band's debut performance.

Quiet Blue Snow,
is a song that moved from Higashikawa to Furano.

And,
『Chup-pet』
which means Higashikawa in the Ainu language.
QBS has become a popular song.
I performed 『Chup-pet』 in Higashikawa once,
but there was absolutely no reaction, which broke my heart!? I haven't performed it since,
and I myself have forgotten what kind of song it was... haha.
I think I'll try playing it again.
By the way, when I received the Hokkaido Cultural Encouragement Award, it wasn't Otaru that celebrated me, but Higashikawa...
I am very happy that the people of Hokkaido were able to hear this band before our Kitara performance on December 4th.
I am receiving wonderful feedback from all over, and I couldn't be happier.
On this tour, centered around the concert in Higashikawa, we also performed in Otaru, Sapporo, and Furubira, and even held a recording session.
Also, apart from the Oppekepe recording, a team that always records for me came from Shikoku during the same period, and we also recorded a solo session and a YOSHIGAKI + NOSE DUO session.
Photos and the party live performance at Nose Hall can be found here.
