"Friends from Childhood Days"

Friends I played with before entering elementary school.
Even if I try to remember them now, their faces don't clearly come to mind.

Yet, strangely, the memories haven't faded.
The scent of the park where we ran around,
the small hand offered when I fell and cried,
the afternoon light where our laughter dissolved into the wind.

Even if I've forgotten their names and voices,
the feelings from back then remain, perfectly intact.

The simple fact that we "played together"
feels like it is gradually shaping who I am today.
