✅ Eligibility for the Rent Support Benefit

1. Mid-sized companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, small business operators, and sole proprietors including freelancers with capital of less than 1 billion yen
2. Sales for May to December have decreased by 50% or more compared to the same month of the previous year in one month, or decreased by 30% or more in total for three consecutive months compared to the same period of the previous year
3. Paying rent for land or buildings occupied for business purposes

✅ Rent Support Benefit Amount

A lump sum of up to 6 million yen for corporations and up to 3 million yen for sole proprietors.
Six times the monthly benefit amount calculated based on the rent paid (monthly) in the most recent month at the time of application

✅ Documents required to apply for the Rent Support Benefit

(1) Documents proving the existence of a lease agreement (lease contract, etc.)
(2) Documents proving rent payment history for the most recent three months at the time of application (copy of bank passbook, transfer statement, etc.)
(3) Identity verification documents (driver's license, etc.)
(4) Documents proving the decrease in sales (tax return, sales ledger, etc.)

I think there are some companies that signed lease agreements a long time ago and do not know where the contract is.I think it will take time to reissue it, so let's prepare it before the application starts.
