フクシアは、ベル型の花が下向きに咲く姿が美しく
その姿から古代インカで『女王蜂の耳飾り』と形容
されたもので、南米にあるアンデスの名花としても
知られる鑑賞価値の高い植物である。

本種は、園芸品種である『ストロベリーデライト』
名前にあるとおり、鮮やかなストロベリーレッドに
練乳のホワイトとのバイカラーがシンプルに際立つ
フクシアに仕上がった品種となる。

これを育成し、花のもつ色や形を楽しみたいなら
目線レベルに設定したハンギング植えがオススメ。
風通しが良く、強光に晒されぬ環境が望ましい。

Fuchsias are known for their beautiful, pendulous bell-
shaped flowers. In ancient Inca culture, their form was
poetically described as the “earrings of the queen bee,”
and they are renowned as iconic flowers of the Andes
in South America, celebrated for their high ornamental
value.


This particular variety, ‘Strawberry Delight’, is a
cultivated garden hybrid. As its name suggests, it
features a vivid strawberry red paired with a creamy
white, creating a strikingly simple and elegant bicolor
bloom.


To best enjoy the color and form of this flower, it is
recommended to grow it in a hanging container at eye
level, where its blossoms can be admired up close. A
well-ventilated location with protection from strong
direct sunlight is ideal for cultivation.
