Amane Library: A Strange Landmark in Amane Town - JoJo Project
In Amane Town, there is a magnificent library said to have been built during the Meiji era.
It is a five-story building on a vast site containing approximately 100,000 books. It covers a wide range of genres, including modern books, manga, ancient documents, and Western literature.
Continuing since the Meiji era, it is the 'quietest and yet noisiest' place in this town.
It is said that the three-story, imposing Western-style building houses 'books that should not exist' from all over the world.

o Voynich Manuscript
'New Book of Anatomy of Another World'
It is said to contain pages that have not been deciphered even after over 100 years of research, whether they are code, a lost language, or 'elaborate nonsense (a prank)'.
o Aristotle's 'Poetics' Part II (On Comedy)
'A book erased from history that makes people laugh themselves to death'
In the 'Poetics' written by the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, in addition to Part I (which still exists) that deals with tragedy, there is what is said to be Part II, which deals with comedy.
o Amane Town Buried Treasure Record Book
A record stating that a portion of the shogunate's military funds was brought to this area. The location is not written. It is said that 18 billion yen worth of gold bullion lies dormant here.
In a certain specific area (unidentified) within the town, there is a 'silent spot' where if you press your ear to the ground, you cannot hear any ambient noise at all. There is a theory that this is directly above the buried treasure.
o Minmei Shobo
A mysterious publisher that appears in boys' manga.
It contains the history of martial arts, such as 'Actually, the origin of golf was China' and 'The roots of rugby were a method of execution.' Whether you believe it or not is up to you.
o Mysterious forbidden books in the basement

In a special room in the basement, books called 'forbidden books' are kept. It is said they were sealed due to their shocking content.
Currently, they are sealed by four doors known as Sloven Doors, and are rumored to be 'books of prophecy' or 'proof of extraterrestrials.'
Amane Town Library Episode

The biggest reason why the Amane Town Library attracts many 'seekers' across borders and genres is not its 100,000-book collection or its Meiji-era architecture.
It is the existence of a 'black library card (commonly known as a Tarot Card)' that is only issued to those who meet specific conditions.
When you go to borrow a book using this card, reading that merely follows the text comes to an end. It is the beginning of a strange experience where the content of the book has a power like 'spiritual energy (Stand)' and directly interferes with the reader.
'Manga Sommelier'
The librarian scans the entire library for the 'manga you are truly seeking from the bottom of your heart right now' and presents just one volume to you.
[Casting Act]
When you use the reading service, a character from the story appears next to you, talks to you, and explains the background of the story.
In modern business books, they will explain the know-how to you.
If you borrow an encyclopedia with this card, extinct creatures will roam the library.
[English Conversation Lesson]
For beginners, it is said that you can even receive TOEIC training from alphabets that have turned into monsters.
