[Self-Introduction] For parents worried about their children's future and money, a story to add one more option
Is it okay to just keep going like this?
Married life.
Raising children.
Children's future paths.
Our family's future planning.
I've been thinking about it in my own way and doing my best.
Even so, anxiety bubbles up from time to time.
I am writing this note for people like that.
It's not that a major problem has occurred.
It's not that I'm struggling with my current life.
Even so, I feel anxious when I think about my children's future.
I feel anxious when I think about our own future.
I feel like I should do something, but I don't know where to start thinking.
I can't be confident that this is the right answer.
I hope people in that situation will read this.
The role of this note
To add one more option to the lives of those who read it.
I am writing this note with that wish in mind.
In raising children, there are things we must decide even though no one tells us the right answer.
How much should parents think about their children's future paths?
How much should we spend on cram schools and lessons?
Should we choose private or public school?
Should we spend money now?
Should we take out student loans?
If you search online, you will find many answers.
Even AI will give you plausible-sounding answers.
However, those are the answers for someone else's family.
This is a model answer that has emerged from a sea of information and common sense.
It does not necessarily apply to your own family as it is.
But, there is a part of you that
“Is this really okay for our family?”
is feeling.
I think that is why you are worried.
In this note, rather than deciding on a single correct answer,
Do it.
Don't do it.
Wait.
Look for another way.
I will think about it including such options.
It is okay if your worries do not disappear completely after reading this.
You will understand what you were struggling with.
You will see what you need to think about now.
You will know what you should talk about as a family.
I hope this can be a trigger for that.
Why I am writing this
I have been working in jobs related to money for a long time.
At the tax office, I received consultations from people who could no longer pay their taxes.
There were also times when business owners or employees embezzled money.
I have also seen scenes where families were torn apart due to inheritance.
Since becoming a tax accountant, I have also had opportunities to talk about household finances, housing, education expenses, and children's career paths.
During those times, I have thought many times:
If it had been a little earlier, there might have been other options.
Many people come for consultation only after they are in trouble.
But by that time, the methods they can use and the paths they can choose have already decreased.
For example,
After straining the household budget by saying, "It's for the sake of the child,"
After narrowing a child's possibilities due to a parent's vanity or desires,
After deciding on a career path by being swayed by social appearances or the recommendations of teachers or cram school instructors,
After reaching September of the third year of junior high or high school,
After starting to repay student loans,
If they had stopped and thought about it once before deciding.
If they had looked at their child's career path and their family's finances together.
There might have been confusion and expenses that could have been avoided.
I find that deeply regrettable.
That is why, in this note, I am writing about things before they become unmanageable.
What kind of articles do I write?
What I am writing is not the correct answer to child-rearing.
It is about how to think about a child's career path and family finances.
For example,
How much should parents think about their child's career path?
Are you giving up on thinking about it just because it's your child's life?
How should you think about a career path for a child who hasn't decided on one?
Is it okay to choose a school based on current grades?
How should parents and children discuss career paths?
I write about these kinds of things.
There are also articles that put feelings into words.
There are also articles that organize ways of thinking.
Sometimes I write about methods for taking actual action.
For things that cannot be put into shape just by reading, I have compiled them into paid articles as sheets and procedures that you can use to create your own answers.
Some people can organize things on their own just by knowing the way of thinking.
If so, that is enough.
You can't seem to get things organized on your own.
Even when you talk to your child, things don't really progress.
You want to talk as a family, but it keeps getting put off due to being busy.
You want to properly organize career paths and educational expenses just once.
For those people, I would like to walk alongside you to organize your child's career path and family finances together, and help you take action.
A little bit about me
I used to work at a tax office.
Now, as a tax accountant, I also use my knowledge as a Level 1 Financial Planner to provide consultations on family finances and educational expenses.
My wife works full-time, and we have two children.
One of our children attends a special support class.
Just because I am a professional does not mean I can always make the right decisions.
I think I understand my children, but there are times when I don't.
Sometimes I try to stay one step ahead, thinking it's for their own good.
I still struggle with parenting and career paths even now.
I make mistakes from time to time.
Therefore, I do not want to teach anything from a position of superiority as a successful parent.
I am also in the middle of thinking things through while struggling every day.
However, in my line of work, I have seen various family and financial issues.
I have failed myself, and each time I have rethought things.
Using that experience,
I want to help make your children's future and your own future planning a little more concrete.
That is the kind of article I want to write.
I do not believe that spending money will necessarily make a child's future better.
However,
if you have money, the paths you can choose increase.
And if you can see the career path, you can also see the money and effort you don't need to spend.
Please start by reading the articles that resonate with you.
I would be happy if this increases your or your child's options even a little.
To those who are tired of trying to be a good parent
For those who are unsure where to start thinking about their child's career path
For those who want to organize their child's career path in a concrete way
For those who want to create a career plan together as a parent and child
