The 'Unreasonableness of Schools' You Only Understand Once You Become a Victim
When you face bullying, you may encounter 'dishonest responses from schools' that go beyond your imagination.
Refusing to acknowledge facts, being vague, stalling for time, and downplaying the victim's complaints—
It is truly a series of unreasonable events.
However, many people do not know the reality until they become victims themselves.
'I never imagined a school would do such a thing.'
'Why must the victim suffer in a place that is supposed to protect children?'
That shock, disappointment, and frustration are sufferings you only understand once you become a party involved.
Until I spoke up on social media, I thought I was the only one going through this.
However, I was honestly very surprised to learn that there are many people across the country who have experienced similar unreasonableness. At the same time, I felt a deep sense of empathy.
'This wasn't just happening at our school.'
'There are other parents carrying the same pain.'
Thinking that, there were moments when my heart felt a little lighter, but honestly, it is also a fact that it fueled my anger.
Connecting on social media is not just about wanting to complain.
We are speaking up precisely because we want to seriously think about how we can protect our children.
I believe that connecting is a form of mutual support among victims and an action to build the future.
Admittedly, expanding this connection is not easy.
・Listening carefully to each other's stories
・Sharing situations with one another
・Not letting anyone feel alone
I believe it is also important to build relationships of trust through the accumulation of such communication.
On the other hand, the reality is that victims each have major problems to deal with, and they have neither the time nor the emotional capacity. That is why I feel it is important not to push ourselves and to move forward one step at a time.
Our connections will surely become a force to protect children.
Believing that, I want to continue moving forward, little by little.
