My son plays too many games, it's outrageous!? No, no, that's not it.
I want to sing with you.

Well, games are fun, aren't they?
The other day, I made this post.

My son, a third-year junior high school student preparing for exams,
has (for now) retired from soccer,
which he started in the middle year of kindergarten.
The junior high school my son attends
is a famous soccer powerhouse in the local area.
As a team,
they were aiming to advance to the Kanto tournament,
so honestly, the result was frustrating, but
up to this point,
he (and his parents, haha)
did a great job!
Above all,
what makes me happy
is that he was blessed with teammates and coaches.
Well,
he gave it his all.
He really fulfilled his commitment
to soccer up to this point.
In the middle of summer vacation,
I thought he would focus on exam studies from now on,
but
I was naive (bitter smile).
Now,
day after day, it's just
nothing but games!!
Since I had read
an article like this by Ryo-yan,
If you play for more than 3 hours,
no matter how much you study, your grades won't improve!
No matter what I say to him,
he turns a deaf ear (because he's obsessed with games),
and last week he was at a pace of 6 hours a day (impressive!).
Since he's also attending summer school at a cram school,
he is studying.
But,
he plays games more than that,
and he hasn't touched his summer vacation homework.
Well, that's to be expected...
When I was a high school senior preparing for entrance exams,
I only listened to John Lennon,
When a father is
too laid-back like that,
he incurs the wrath of his wife (based on personal experience).
With a wife who is
yelling,
screaming, and fuming,
and a son who is immersed in games
and keeps repeating, "Oh... yeah... I'll stop soon" (he never stops).
This article is
the struggle of a grinning octopus-blower who is
trying to turn this into content for note
while caught between the two.

The arguments of both sides
・I am studying properly
(I'm attending summer school)
・"Everyone" plays about 6 hours of games
(some friends are hardcore enough to play for 11 hours)
・Since I'm doing what I need to do,
why can't you let me play games?
・If I can't play games, what should I do?
・He's not studying (concentrating) at all
・Study time < Game time
・He's always on his smartphone, so we can't have a conversation
・He's always playing games in his spare time,
and if this continues, his daily rhythm will fall apart
As stated above,
the arguments of both sides are completely at odds,
and the wife, in particular, is constantly fuming.
Yesterday too,
when left alone it went over 6 hours
and there was no sign of him stopping at all,
so when I took his smartphone away,
my son (unusually) got angry.
Hmm. What should I do?
Even though it's summer vacation,
the atmosphere in the house isn't good.
I need to do something,
I thought while worrying, but I went to sleep yesterday
(I fall asleep as fast as Nobita)
I'll try thinking while writing
So, morning.
I had a flash of inspiration,
so I made this post on X.

It's clear that I'm
still dwelling on yesterday's events.
That said,
it's not like I have a clear outlook.
It's just a post
I wrote down for no particular reason.
But by outputting it,
there are realizations that are born,
which is interesting.
For my son,
・Games are more interesting than studying
・Spending time with friends playing online games
is more fun than time with family
true, isn't it.
The game my son is hooked on is"Brawl Stars".
Does everyone know it?
I'm not very familiar with those things,
so when I looked it up,
"Brawl Stars" is a multi-action game that can be played in about 3 minutes per game, and teamwork is the key to victory. It has an easy-to-understand game system where winning a match increases your trophies and losing decreases them. The trophies you collect represent the player's strength, and you can get items and characters based on that number.
Hey, that sounds fun.
To me,
the fun of this game
(Though I've never done it)
I understand it well.
Because,
I have also been
hooked on a game for a long time recently.
It's note.
Brawl Stars and note, is the essence the same!?
Posting on X/note
→ Followers, likes, and comments increase
→ Interacting, getting insights and energy
→ Real life also becomes more fulfilling
For me,
note is like a game (a toy).
Just like my son,
Dad was also immersed in it, so,
Son, I understand your feelings well~
When I was able to
fully empathize with my son like that,
it hit me.
My wife, she's lonely!
That's what it is.
Tako → Immersed in note → Fun!
Son → Obsessed with games → Fun!
Wife → Husband and son are both absent-minded
→ What is this (angry)!!
It was that kind of love triangle.
(P-probably)
It's not that my son playing games all the time
is the problem,
Both Tako and my son
are 'only having fun themselves',
so (my wife) is not amused.
Just as I was thinking that,
I found this article (attraction).
The night is not just for the present, but to connect to tomorrow morning.
And if you are not alone,
it is a time when consideration for those around you is tested.
'It's night, I worked hard!⸜( ˶'ᵕ'˶)⸝'
'(I wanted you to help me with this, though...(´•ω•`))'
If that continues behind the scenes like that,
it's a bit of a waste.
The same applies to self-improvement and dreams; I think it's important to build a stance where you get others to understand what you want to do and cooperate with you, and since you are receiving their cooperation, you must show gratitude and do everything you can for your family with all your might.
If you live alone, it's entirely a battle with yourself, but
if you live with someone else, it's not just a battle with yourself.
This article felt like a revelation (lol)
Without my wife,
Edase cannot exist, so
I need to make some minor changes to my approach this summer.
Me up until now,
Stop blowing bubbles!
So, with that said,
including my note, X, and real life,
I'm spending my summer vacation reflecting on myself.
With a good balance,
family time,
and even more ingenuity.
I also think of this
as an "interesting game",
but
what do you readers (especially the wives) think?
If there's a perspective this octopus hasn't noticed,
I would love for you to give me a kick in the pants
by saying, "Stop blowing bubbles!"
Well then, until next time!
Until the day we meet again (lol)!!
Thank you
for reading until the end.
I'm so happy I could blow bubbles (˶˙๏˙˶)♡
