[June Bride] Wedding Opening
The first CD I ever bought was,
CHAGE and ASKA's "SAY YES." This is Edase.
"I will not die! Because I love you!!"
The theme song for "101st Proposal," starring Tetsuya Takeda, which took the world by storm.
101st Proposal.
Words cannot surpass the heart
I want to convey so much, but I cannot win against my heart
Both the drama and the CD were huge hits.
Oh, that's right,
the first drama I ever watched in its entirety was also
"101st Proposal."
"Words really can't surpass the heart, can they?"
"I want to convey so much, but I can't win against my heart, can I?"
In that way,
I was an introverted boy
who would daydream about things
that I thought I understood but actually had no clue about.
On the other hand,
the first CD my wife bought was
the "Chibi Maruko-chan" theme song,
"Odoru Pompokolin."
Pihyara Pihyara Pappaparapa
Pihyara Pihyara Pappaparapa
Pihyara Pihyara Tattatararira
Does this contrast alone
give you a sense of the balance
in our marriage? (laughs)

☔️ This is an article participating in Nao Kurosaki's project ☔️
#NaoKurosaki2024JuneJaunt
The monthly Nao Kurosaki event!
The theme is "June," so...
・June Bride
is what I'll write about.
Previous article
Since I bragged in this article that "my wife and I are in love with each other,"
I just remembered,
Of all the things at our wedding reception,
the most fun part was
making the slideshowitself.
Among my friends,
I was relatively
early to get married,
and thinking about how to surprise the guests,
① Opening Movie
② Thank You Movie for Parents
③ Ending Movie
I made these three.
What I still remember fondly is
the opening movie.
Before the bride and groom entered,
Everyone, thank you so much for coming today!
The bride and groom are who they are because of all of you.
We are always grateful to you all!
I made it to convey those feelings.
After the ceremony ended,
“There were surprisingly few photos of you two!”is what they teased me about, but
That's right.
95% of it was a slideshow of photos featuring our friends. This was intentional.
And the song,
I had decided on it long before!
Princess Princess's
“DIAMONDS”
It's a hit song from a slightly older generation, but
to convey our feelings,
I decided that this was the only song with the right lyrics!!!!!
I was sure of it.
My wife and I during our college days
My wife is a super active person.
Ever since she experienced a short-term study abroad in Thailand,
she traveled all over Asia during her college years.
During the summer vacation shortly after we started dating,
she said, “I’m going on a two-month trip to India!” and
got on a plane with a backpack on her back.
When she came back, she was so tanned that even the Indians were surprised.
Even though I told her,
“Don’t follow strangers in India,”
she became friends with an
Indian millionaire (?) she met on the plane,
and was suddenly invited to stay at his mansion for two nights,
I was teasing her saying,
“In India, it feels like cow poop might fly at you while riding the train,”
and when I said that,
there was a child throwing cow poop at the window,
and it landed a critical hit on my wife’s head,
she met a young man who claimed to be a singer-songwriter,
and I thought he was unusually good at singing,
only to find out later thatit was Naoto Inti Raymi.
Well, she's unconventional.
She's a bit reckless, but
she's a brave woman who enjoys a thrill.
As for me,
during my summer vacations in college,
every year, I would travel with my club friends,
mostly touring Kyushu and Shikoku for about 10 days.
It was a budget trip where we would visit nursing homes and psychiatric hospitals,
and in exchange for performing comedy skits or rakugo, we would get to stay at the facilities for free.
It was like the TV show 'Shoten'.
It wasn't anything special at all.
Honestly, the goal was just to get free lodging at the facilities,
and our comedy and rakugo skills were practically amateur.
When we went to a certain hospital
in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture,
there was a lively old man who said,
“You guys, do an 'A-I-U-E-O' poem!
I'll give you the topic!”
He threw that unreasonable request at us.
“Alright, let's go with 'Ubesho', the team that made it to Koshien.
Write a poem using U-B-E-S-H-O.”
When it comes to this, it's all improv.
We looked at each other and thought desperately.
U! Great performance in hitting and fielding.
Be! Let's do our best.
Shi! Chasing after the white ball.
Yo! In the top of the fourth inning.
U! Left the house (*´ω`*)
It got a mild reaction. Not quite a hit...
“Do it again! Next is 'Shimonoseki'.
Shi-mo-no-se-ki.”
Shi! Full of happiness, full of dreams.
Mo! I decided in my heart to go again.
No! A nice place where you can live leisurely.
Se! That place is the best in the world.
Ki! It must be somewhere out there... (*'ω'*)
This also got a mild reaction (bitter laugh).
We were total amateurs.
Even so,
when young, energetic college students
spread a bright atmosphere, the guests were happy.
That made me happy.
The main event was at night.
The hospital director hosted us.
We drank and sang with the nurses and young doctors, and then... memory loss.
When I came to, we were all sleeping on the floor of the facility,
and a friend muttered in his sleep,
“Why is Nobel here?”
It was chaos.
Even reading my diary from back then,
I barely understand what it means,
and it might not be getting across to you all reading this either (bitter laugh).
Well, it was fun.
It's a diamond, those few scenes.
Both my wife and I
were blessed with friends and blessed with encounters,
a college life where we played a lot.
Lining up photos from those days
and playing Princess Princess's 'DIAMONDS' in the background
really fits perfectly.
It's a diamond, those moments
I can't explain it well, but it's a treasure
The premonition I felt back then was real
That feeling is what moves me now
For example, a photo like this.

Since this opening movie
was played before the bride and groom entered,
we were outside the venue in front of the doors.
When we aimed for a laugh
and it got a big laugh, we felt relieved,
and for the touching scenes,
we were excited wondering
what kind of expressions they were making.
After the song ended,
our message played
and for the entrance song, we went with the classic
ABBA's 'Dancing Queen'.
And now, the bride and groom are entering.
The doors opened, and
◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️
The scene where many relatives and friends
we had played around with so much
welcomed us with smiles and applause
◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️
Even this moment
is still a diamond to us.
・・・・・・・・・・
Hmm, as I thought,
'Words cannot surpass the heart,'
'I really want to convey it, but I can't beat the heart.'
Or rather,
is it just too cheesy???
The women in the back alleys might laugh at me (((^_^;)
How long are you going to be on the PC!
Finish up already and hurry up and make lunch!
Ah, s-sorry.
Okay. I'm doing it now.
Come to think of it, we held our wedding
in March, not June.
Well, whatever.
It's June Bride season, so
this is just a far-fetched octopus-blowing excuse.
When the ending seems a bit suspicious,
let's rely on a magic password.
“#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout”
My apologies~.
