ukka FC Event: ukka's Holiday [Impressions]

On Sunday, October 13, 2024, I attended "ukka's Holiday," a fan club-exclusive live concert by ukka at harevutai in Ikebukuro.

Merchandise exchange began at 12:30 PM.
I exchanged the laminated voucher sent in advance for a bag, an acrylic keychain, and a ticket to write a name for an autograph.

I had planned to just have a pastry for lunch, but I was saved by finding a set meal restaurant nearby where I could eat a chicken cutlet set.


The BGM playing while the doors were open included "Oshi≒Koi," "Musubime," and "Marionette Girl" from their latest single, "yummy!!".


Setlist

The pre-show announcement was by Tomo-chan. It was a fresh announcement, delivered in a stumbling yet clear voice as she almost tripped over her words at times; it was the best.

The curtain rose, and the ukka's Holiday logo appeared on the screen.

In sync with the Overture "We are…," the screen displayed the ukka logo inside a circle floating on the water's surface.

It felt like the beginning of a movie.

Then the members appeared.
Riju-chan and Ruri-chan came out in such beautiful pajamas, and they were so cute that I was overwhelmed.
And while the other members appeared in cute pajama outfits, Akane Sora-chan stood out with a unique look, wearing a rough T-shirt pajama set. She appeared with a straight face, wearing an eye mask with the character for "Samurai" and fiery, passionate eyes. lol

And Rina-chan was in full leopard-print pajamas. lol

I was already convinced that today would be a fun concert when Tomoa-chan came to the center for the first song, which fit the pajama theme perfectly...!
"Party goes on."Yesssss!!!

Personally, it had been two years since ALLOUT SECOND, so I was really happy and moved to tears to finally see it performed again.

I remembered that the first FC live for the 4-member lineup was around Shibuya in the fall of 2021, but I had refrained from going, and I recalled being able to attend the FC kickoff event in Ikebukuro in January 2022.

The guitar was so pleasant; it's such a stylish song that I love, so I was really happy to see it performed.

Moa-chan's facial expressions were also incredibly rich, and I was captivated. I realized that her craftiness had been enhanced by Ruri-chan's influence.

The pop and stylish background screen was also cute.

And the saxophone in the interlude🎷...!!!
It felt so good, it was the best.

The second song was"Shining City Lights"...!!!!

I had been waiting for this moment for so long....!!!
Riju-chan's featured song!

The background was a neo-retro setting, featuring a beach with a purple sunset or a purple skyscraper skyline.

The skyscrapers and the city-pop vibe of Shining were so pleasant that I was tripping out, it was the best....
Yes, the songs from "T.O.N.E" are the best...
While "Fanfare," "Girls Night," and "WINGS" were performed quite a bit in 2023, I was really happy to finally see "Shining City Lights" and "Party goes on." performed here for the first time with the 7-member lineup.

In the D-melody, which is Riju-chan's highlight, she drew a star with her hand during the "shu, n, ka, n--!" part, and it was so cool... truly the queen of the falling chorus...

The third song was "Kyuna Romantic"!!
That "beben!" intro got me so hyped!!

Riju and Ruri looked so cool standing back-to-back and doing the shooting pose, and Rina and Ruri looked so cute facing each other and laughing on stage left.
The dance during the interlude really highlighted Rina and Ruri, and it was so cool!
Koharu-chan's part in the falling chorus matched her breathy, soft, true-to-life voice as a third-year middle schooler, and it gave me chills.

Next was the self-introduction. The members introduced themselves in rapid succession, and then they talked about their outfits.
Sora-chan on the stage right side, who I thought was just the punchline, made me laugh lol

"These aren't my own, they were prepared by the staff. They're pajamas that foreigners wear when they come to Japan. Like the kind you buy as souvenirs in Asakusa."

That's what she said. It really did have that vibe of a foreigner who was super excited to be in Japan lol

She said if it comes down to it, she'll wear the (passionate-eyed) eye mask lol

Ruri-chan is wearing the same pajamas as Moa-chan.
She said the name tag and the twin tails are the highlights. The name tag part had "Ruri" and "Moa" stuck on with sequin tape.

Ruri-chan emphasized, "We're twins! ♥️," and Moa-chan, who was playing it cool, said she matched her hairstyle to Ruri-chan's. I thought, this duo who often goes out for yakiniku and has sleepovers is so lovey-dovey today too. lol

Koharu-chan is wearing Santa-style pajamas that are a step (or more) ahead of the season. It's cute with pom-poms on the head.

Moa-chan is wearing the same matching pajamas as Ruri-chan earlier.

Tomu-chan showed off her bear ear headband! Cute (cute).

Rina-chan is wearing leopard print from head to toe. It sounded like the audience's inner voice was clearly heard (?), asking if they were her own pajamas, but she said the staff chose them.
She said when she was having the fitting for this outfit, an idol from another group looked at her like, "Eh...? (confused)," and she tried to hide, saying "No!" (she wasn't hidden).

She said Riju-chan's pajamas are the kind I would like. She said she doesn't usually wear them, but she likes them. I love Riju-chan, who looks good in cute pajamas...

And from here, it's the unit song corner!
The members split into two groups: the outdoor team consisting of Sora-chan, Moa-chan, Ruri-chan, and Koharu-chan, and the indoor team consisting of Riju-chan, Rina-chan, and Tomu-chan.

First, when the indoor team left the stage to start with the outdoor team, Sora-chan snuck out with them and got called out for it. She retorted, "I have to make a joke in this outfit!" and Samurai Sora Akane delivered a sharp joke lol

The song the outdoor team will perform is "Happy☆Skip Jump"!

It's been such a long time since an early Sakura Ebi~zu song!!

During the "bleh" part, Ruri-chan went "bleh" 😜 and poked her pinky finger right in front of me while winking, and my heart was shot through.

The indoor team is "Kaerenai!"!

I have a lot of attachment to it and I love it so much, so I was happy! Personally, the "Seishun!" call felt very nostalgic.

After it ended, both teams went on stage to explain why they chose their songs.
First, the outdoor team said their choice was to "start with rare songs." When "Hatsukoi Moyou" was brought up as a candidate, there was a huge buzz. I'm so grateful...

And the reason the indoor team chose "Kaerenai!" was because of the indoor feeling of "I want to go home! But I can't go home!" I get it...()
There isn't a song called "I want to go home!" but I thought that was a valid point too. lol

Next up was the long-awaited 7-item trifectagamblingkaraoke corner, which we collected via Google Form in advance!

My predictions were:
Koharu: "Natsuiro"
Riju: "Lum no Love Song"
Ruri: "Saikyou no Oshi"
Sora: "Tsugaru Kaikyou Fuyugeshiki"
Moa: "Maji de Koi suru 5-byou Mae"
Rina: "First Love"
Tomu: "cupid in love"
that was it.

The members left the stage, the lights dimmed, and a video played on the screen. First up was Koharu-chan. She drew a lot and got "Male Artist"!

I thought, 'Oh, Natsuiro is coming!', and then she did a victory pose.

Koharu-chan's correct answer was"Natsuiro"!

The vibe of Yuzu really suited her middle school third-year age perfectly. And she's so good...

Next was Riju-chan! She got "Female Artist" and chose"Saikyou no Oshi"!

I thought, 'Oh no, I missed it!', but I was really happy to hear "Saikyou no Oshi" performed by the ultimate oshi. It's a song by Airi Suzuki, who served as a backup dancer at the Momoiro Uta Gassen!
Even though the tempo and everything seemed difficult, she sang it perfectly, and it was truly cool and the best.

Next was Ruri-chan! "Anime Song"!
"Lum no Love Song"was it!
Thinking about it now, my two favorites were swapped, so it was quite close()
She really emphasized the "Don't" in "Don't be so restlessdon't!" and did calls during the "I love you!" part, and I felt Ruri-chan's intensity from the start, but then she kept doing baby-talk with "looking away" and "love you".

I remembered this TikTok, and Ruri-chan was so cute. Ruri-chan, who pulled it off with such confidence, is truly cool, I thought.

Next was Sora-chan! She drew "Enka" and got "Tsugaru Kaikyou Fuyugeshiki"!

She appeared like a big-name female enka singer in a kimono, walking with small steps and her hands in front.
She bowed and sang it very seriously and beautifully. I felt the soul of Teichiku...

Her exit was the same, walking with small steps like a big-name female enka singer in a kimono (though in reality, she was wearing a samurai T-shirt)...

Next was Moa-chan! She drew "Showa Idol," but was that even in the candidates...?
Just as I thought that,
"Maji de Koi suru 5-byou Mae"!? lol

That's Heisei! I and others were making that joke, which was hilarious lol
However, it really suited Moa-chan, so it was good. Setting aside whether it's Showa or not... lol

Next was Rina-chan! Since it was "Ballad," she chose"First Love"...!

She sang the "dahaa~" part as "darou~" just like the lyrics, which showed Rina-chan's seriousness(?)
And I was moved by Rina-chan's singing voice, which grabbed my heart, but then I came back to reality when I saw her full leopard-print outfit()
However, personally, I couldn't get tickets for Hikaru Utada's tour in the summer, so I was grateful to Rina-chan for choosing this song and letting me experience it at the live show. It really saved me...

Last was Tomo-chan! She drew from "Stardust Planet" and performed "cupid in love" by Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu!

It matched cute Tomo-chan's singing voice perfectly, it was the best...

As Tomo-chan's song ended, all the members appeared while sneezing "cupid in love" sneezes. lol
They looked back on it one by one.
First was Koharu-chan's "Natsuiro".
She mentioned in a prior hint that she had been to a live concert, and it turned out she had been to Yuzu's concerts twice.
Also, Rina-chan teased her about how Koharu-chan was wearing a Santa-like outfit while singing "Natsuiro," making the sense of season confusing, which was hilarious lol

Next was Riju-chan's "Saikyou no Oshi".
This is a song for which she also served as a backup dancer at the Momoiro Uta Gassen. She pointed out that there was someone in the audience wearing Airi Suzuki's "Saikyou no Oshi" T-shirt!

Next was Ruri-chan's "Lum no Love Song"!
Moa-chan teased her saying, "It was totally different from rehearsal!" and she was teased by the members for her baby-like singing style and had it imitated lol
She was a little red in the face from embarrassment, but Ruri-chan, who pulled it off without getting red at all while singing, is truly cool...

Sora-chan's was "Tsugaru Kaikyou Fuyugeshiki"!
When I thought, 'Speaking of Enka, there's the Teichiku connection, is this the Teichiku slot!', Sora-chan seemed extremely nervous and started crying... I could feel her nervousness, thinking about how hard she must have worked... It is 90 years of Teichiku history, after all...

Next was Moa-chan's "Maji de Koisuru 5-byou Mae"!
It seems Moa-chan really didn't know it until Rina-chan told her, "It's a Heisei song!" lol
When a shout of "It's Heisei!" erupted from the audience, Rina-chan said, "Yes! That's right! Tell her!" lol

Rina-chan's was "First Love." It seems she was just watching the drama that this song is the theme for, so it was the only thing that came to mind. I'm really grateful... And the impact of the leopard print is huge lol

Last was Tomo-chan. She said she did the sneezing in rehearsal. lol

The next corner was the part shuffle corner!
The song to sing is "Overnight Rainbow"!

Shuffle the ukka merchandise NAME T-shirts, and sing the part of the member on that T-shirt!

They drew 7 T-shirts on the spot:

Sora-chan and Ruri-chan drew each other, and when Sora-chan imitated Ruri-chan saying, "Ruri-chan isn't like that!", Sora-chan once again did a maliciousimitation, which was hilarious lol

When they actually performed, Ruri-chan skipped Sora-chan's part and looked down apologetically while Sora-chan glared at her, and Sora-chan was singing while doing an exaggerated imitation of Ruri-chan, which was hilarious lol

And it was funny how many members were saved by staring intently at the screen when they had to turn around for Moa-chan's part lol

Looking back after it finished. I was able to see Sora-chan's imitation of Ruri-chan saying "Ruri-chan isn't like that!" again, which was hilarious.
And Riju-chan imitated Koharu-chan, and Koharu-chan inherited Ruri-chan's classic gag(?) by saying, "It's not like that~" lol

And although it was a mess in rehearsal, they said they were saved by the screen and it took shape. But since it was impromptu, their adaptability and daily results are amazing... (In terms of the segment, it was very good for Ruri-chan ←)

They changed clothes in two groups and took turns MCing, but Sora-chan took hers off while leaving just like when she put it on and came right back. lol
Koharu-chan was carrying Sora-chan's shirt lol

Next was the quiz corner!
A corner where they guess whose holiday schedule is shown in a pie chart.

First, a pie chart characterized by
23:00-4:00 'Time I can't sleep'
4:00-12:00 'Sleep'
13:00-21:00 'Going out'
21:00-22:00 'Eating/Talking with family'

We talked about how the 'outdoor team' and 'indoor team' mentioned earlier would be the key to guessing whose it was based on the going out part.
The answer was pretty much unanimously Moa-chan.
She said that time she can't sleep is important! And that she has to talk to her mom at least once a day.

Next was a pie chart with lots of small segments, characterized by time for 'dramas' and 'doing things I have to do' in between.
With 'dramas' as the keyword, it was unanimously Rina-chan, and that was the correct answer. lol

Next was a pie chart characterized by
2:00-15:00 'Sleeping'
15:00-17:00 (Blank)
17:00-18:00 'Chiropractic'
19:00-22:00 'Eating'
.
The chiropractic part was intriguing, and the answer was Sora-chan.
Ruri-chan focused on the 3 hours of eating, but it meant 'going out to eat with friends'.
The blank space was for various things like getting ready.

Next, surreal footage of someone vacuuming vigorously played on the screen.
When asked whose holiday this was, the answer was surprisingly Tomo-chan. lol
And apparently, she doesn't even clean that often. lol

Next was a lovely oil painting of a sunset or night scene.
Speaking of art, I had an image of Riju-chan or Ruri-chan, and Riju-chan even said it was the kind of painting she likes, but the answer was surprisingly Koharu-chan.
'I can do it if I get serious too~'
She said something like that, but it was really good and I thought she was a genius.

And as for Riju-chan's holiday... Ruri-chan called it 'in the darkness,' and Riju-chan retorted, 'Darkness...!' lol

Then Moa-chan announced that this was the final block. I really started to feel that the customary 'Ehh!' was coming to an end.

The first song of the final block, the 15th song, was Marionette Girl!

As expected, Riju-chan's drop chorus part starting from Sora-chan's had overwhelming power and was cool, and I was reminded again that Moa-chan and Tomo-chan's singing voices really suit the atmosphere of this song.
And for the doll part at the end, I really love how Rina-chan and Riju-chan's arms sway and their vacant eyes look just like a doll.

The 16th song was Otonogoro distance! I can finally see the cool Ruri-chan of 'Otonogoro' after a long time!

I was thrilled by how cool Riju-chan and Koharu-chan were during the part where they lean back and do an isolation (?).

Koharu-chan's part in the drop chorus was careful, beautiful, and skillful, and it gave me chills.

The 17th song was Mawaru Mawaru Mawaru!!
I was able to hear Riju-chan's overwhelming drop chorus at the end, 'It's like the night before a day I'm looking forward to too much, I wish it would last forever,' and it was the best, soaking in the lingering feeling of the final song, thinking 'Don't end yet...!'

Then they left the stage smoothly and the lights went out.
The first song of the encore was Viva La Vida!
Rina-chan's 'Seicho!' (Growth!) call was also full of fun and the best.
The 'Kochira koso!' (No, thank you!) was also still there, and I felt the warmth of the venue.

The second song was Rising dream!
Even with the tight tempo, Ruri-chan managed to fit in the 'Rising dream!' call in the intro perfectly without breaking the rhythm, and I was impressed.

At the end, we all filmed a TikTok for 'Oshi≒Koi'. While being considerate by saying, 'If you haven't memorized it, just make a heart in front of your face,' Sora-chan turned her back and danced in the same direction as us, so it was helpful to be able to check while watching.

Regarding the impressions of this live show, Rina-chan said, 'I was really happy that we were able to do Kyu-Roma, and I was happy that the audience seemed happy too.'

Tomo-chan had some first-time announcements.
A MixChannel streaming event will start on 10/21, with prizes including a feature in Zipper and an advertisement on the JR line. I really want to make this happen...!

Then, as they were leaving, Riju-chan announced that we should come to the one-man live 'Houmatsu' and 'Kousai' to be held at Shibuya WWWX on 12/8!

Moa-chan was the last one left on stage. lol
She hyped us up, saying that everyone here is a fan club member so we can shout loudly, and we all shouted the classic farewell greeting 'Baibiroon!', Moa-chan left, and the show ended.
It ended around 15:30, and I had booked my flight for 17:40, so I thought I wouldn't be able to go to the special event, but I was grateful that I could just barely make it.

Special Event

This time, an autograph session was held exclusively for those who purchased the FC-limited goods set, which included a bag and an acrylic keychain. The autograph could be signed on the bag, the acrylic keychain, or a postcard from the set.

I managed to get in line for Riju-chan's session early, and although I lost my vocabulary, I was able to convey my early birthday wishes and tell her how great things were. Then I did an 'otaku dash' to catch my scheduled train and flight home ().

In Conclusion

For me, this was my first FC event since the FC kickoff event held in Ikebukuro in January 2022. It was truly the best and felt so good to hear my favorites from T.O.N.E, 'Party goes on.' and 'Shining City Lights'... and I was really waiting for 'Kyuna Romantic'...

The live performance in pajama costumes was not only cute, but the gap between that and their cool performance was electrifying. It was really great to see Riju-chan and Ruri-chan in their pajama outfits...
