This summer, our small factory is taking on three crowdfunding challenges.

Lately, my mind has been completely occupied with our next challenges.

At Maruhachi Kasei Co., Ltd., a small factory in Aichi Prefecture, we are planning three crowdfunding projects this summer.

While our main business is manufacturing plastic parts for automobiles and industrial products, we launched our own brand, 'OUROBOROS,' in 2020 and have been continuing the challenge of delivering products we planned ourselves to the world.

The first one is our second project on Creema SPRINGS.

We are bringing the 'Luminous DS Carabiner (Large Size),' which was well-received on Makuake last time, to Creema SPRINGS.

For this project, we have prepared pink and orange as Creema SPRINGS exclusive colors.

Since these are special colors we don't usually make, I hope to make this a project that our long-time supporters will also enjoy.

We are currently working with a designer on the page creation and are preparing for the launch.

The second one is our eighth Makuake project, which we are aiming to start in the first week of July.

The product name is 'Oboro UV Checker'.

It is a somewhat mysterious carabiner that changes color in response to the sun's ultraviolet rays and glows in the dark at night.

'Notifying you of UV rays through color.'

As a product with such new value, we aim to create something that many people can enjoy using.

And the third one is a challenge on Kickstarter in the United States.

Actually, this is not our first time on Kickstarter; this will be our second attempt.

We want to use the large-size Luminous DS Carabiner that we launched on Makuake this May to test how it will be received in the United States.

While sales are certainly important, this is more of a test marketing effort to see 'what kind of people overseas will be interested' and 'whether the OUROBOROS brand can compete globally.'

Honestly, we have a mountain of work to do just domestically.

Even so, because we are a small factory, we want to take on interesting challenges.

Rather than just ending as a subcontractor, we want to think for ourselves, create for ourselves, and deliver to the world for ourselves.

We are moving forward one step at a time, aiming to become a 'manufacturing creator'.

What kind of future will these three challenges lead to?

I feel some anxiety, but I am even more excited.
