What is the mindset of a learner?

Until a few years ago, I wanted the ability to earn money on my own without relying on a company job, so I tried my hand at many things.
Information products, expensive seminars, and online courses.

Before I knew it, hundreds of thousands of yen had slipped away.
Looking only at the results, I ended up on the side that didn't succeed.
Even in that state, there was something that remained from that period.

It wasn't the content, but rather something like
the mindset when being taught.
At first, I was skeptical about everything.
Can I really earn money with this?
Why do I need to do this?
Isn't there a more efficient way?

While constantly applying the brakes in my mind,
time just passed by without me taking a single step forward.

There was a time when I was told,
"First, please just try doing it exactly as I said."
It meant that I could think about it after that.


Another thing I was often told was
not to mix the methods of different people at the same time.
I would hear method A, see method B along the way, and then get curious about information from C.
Before I knew it, everything had become half-baked.

Since each one looks correct, it makes you even more confused.
In the end, without building anything up, I would go off to look for the next thing.
Decide on one thing and see it through to a certain extent.
That simple thing was something I just couldn't do.
Looking back now, I feel that the state of the receiver was more significant than the content being taught.

Do you listen while doubting?
Do you try moving for the time being?
Do you try your hand at this and that?

Even when hearing the same story, people diverge there.
At that time, I was only looking for what I should learn.
But in reality, I think I was stumbling over how to learn.

Do you move only after you are fully convinced, or do you move while still having some reservations?
Even this alone changes how you progress.
It is a quiet difference, but it leads to a large gap later on.
