[New Discovery] The story of how tea brewed from loose leaves tasted better than I imagined
Recently, just out of curiosity, I
tried brewing tea from loose leaves.
And then—
it was three times better than I imagined.
Actually, since I had just been drinking bottled tea from the supermarket right before that,
the difference was even more obvious.
I was shocked, thinking, "Wait, is it really this different?" and
I even compared it to my usual tea bags, but
it had a kind of "depth" that was different from those too.
The lingering aftertaste of bitterness and sweetness that gently spreads at the back of the throat.
I was surprised twice over.
Somehow, this is... something I might get hooked on.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting that much, but
I realized that "effort" really does attract deliciousness.
Buying tea leaves while traveling is a great idea.
Maybe,
a "Nationwide Local Tea Leaf Series"
...might start. 🤔
If it's under 1,000 yen, it might be worth it.
A little luxury isn't bad.
What I drank this time was...
Kakegawa tea.
The balance between the astringency and the umami was just right.
I hope to encounter even more tea leaves that I love from here on out.
Lastly
This was a story about how
small discoveries and realizations can surprisingly enrich your life.
