[My First Note] Self-introduction. The story of how I never thought I'd be here...

Nice to meet you. I'm Sansho.

Right now, I live in a quiet corner of the Czech countryside with my
Czech husband, Milacek (which means 'darling' in Czech),
and our cats.

Time flies,
and this is my fourth year of country living.

And for about the same amount of time,
I've been trying to conceive.

Lately,
I've been growing vegetables in the garden,
and doting on my cats.

To a degree I never would have imagined in my past life,
I am living peaceful days.

I, who thought I would never leave Kyoto for the rest of my life,
never imagined I would be living abroad,
and in a village at that...

From this place where hedgehogs, deer, foxes,
and sometimes even wild rabbits appear in the garden,
I plan to write about what I feel, what I see,
and my little discoveries.

The articles from all the contributors here
are just overflowing with humor.

“If I’m going to keep a journal, I definitely want to do it here!”

I had always thought that.

However, because I live abroad,
I struggled immensely with the registration,
and before I knew it, three months had melted away—oh, the misery.

So now,
being able to interact with all of you
makes me truly happy!
