A Wish to the Hectopascal (The Gentle Typhoon) [Weekly Short-Short Note]
A slightly warm, humid breeze brushes against my cheek, and I know the season of the gentle typhoon has arrived.
The gentle typhoon, formally known as Warm-Climate Moderate Pressure Syndrome, is a time when people stop fighting, regain their calm, and lay down their arms.
I sometimes think it would be nice if the gentle typhoon stayed forever.
It is true that when the gentle typhoon is here, it rains constantly and crops do not grow at all, but if it stayed longer, perhaps the pointless conflict with the neighboring town would end.
If that happened, I could go visit my grandmother whom I haven't seen in so long, and I could go to the park where the kochia are beautiful and visit the delicious bakery.
At night, when I wonder if this area will eventually become a battlefield too, and why conflict never ends, I start to sob.
Even though my heart should have long since lost the capacity for sadness, thanks to the strange atmospheric pressure of the gentle typhoon.
I make a wish. For the day the gentle typhoon dissipates, leaving only the gentleness behind.
<Impressions>
Contrary to the theme of 'gentle,' I ended up writing a rather bitter piece.
I participated in the following project. I am embarrassed to be participating on a monthly basis.
