Hybrid Theory is actually a "mode"!
I am currently writing a paper on Hybrid Theory!
I have been calling them "3 types" until now, but
as I continued my research, I discovered a definitive fact.
That is—
The 3 types are not "personalities," but
rather "modes" that switch within a person!
People live their lives by unconsciously switching modes
depending on the situation and the person they are with.
That is precisely why
instead of saying "you are this type,"
we need to look at
"which mode you are reacting with right now."
■ The 3 Modes
Legacy Mode
* A term meaning "heritage" or "tradition."
[Characteristics]
A mode that values past experience, rules, and common sense,
prioritizing efficiency and stability.
[Strengths]
Stability: Predictable and provides a sense of security
Efficiency: Low waste and easy to produce results
Continuity: Can maintain culture and systems
[Weaknesses]
Vulnerable to change
Difficult to generate creativity
Prone to conflict with New-type
New-type Mode
* "New types" and "values not bound by common sense."
[Features]
A mode that values intuition, inspiration, and freedom,
and explores new possibilities.
[Pros]
Creativity: Generates innovative ideas
Flexibility: Resilient to environmental changes
Diversity: Respects individuality
[Cons]
Instability: Results are hard to predict
Inefficiency: Can sometimes lead to detours
Prone to conflict with legacy systems
Hybrid Mode
* Means "integrating different things."
[Features]
A mode that understands both legacy and new types,
acting as an "interpreter" to bridge conflicts.
[Pros]
Problem-solving: Capable of multifaceted analysis
Adaptability: Strong in both change and stability
Harmony: Can bridge human relationships
[Cons]
Consumes energy
Prone to isolation (because it belongs to neither side)
Decisions are difficult (there are many options)
■ Understanding modes makes human relationships much easier to grasp
Everyone lives their life while switching between
these three modes.
That is precisely why,
when you were having a hard time
when you had an unpleasant experience
when things didn't go well
if you apply which mode you and the other person were in at that moment,
your understanding will progress surprisingly well.
■ Conflicts occur due to "clashing modes"
In reality, friction almost always occurs in these three patterns.
Legacy VS New Type (the most intense)
Legacy VS Legacy (a fistfight over who is right)
New Type VS New Type (a struggle for freedom)
And then—
It is the Hybrid that brings harmony!
Hybrid VS Hybrid
→ Hit it off instantly ( ◍´꒳)⸜⸝(´꒳◍ )
However,
no matter how friendly a Hybrid is,
a rigid Legacy
a runaway New Type
can be difficult to handle.
I will cover measures for this in another article.
See you later!
