The Hypothesis That I Can Post Daily But Not Weekly

Hello, this is Sakamoto.

As I have written many times before, I have been posting articles on this note every day since February 13, 2022.

To be precise, my daily posting streak was broken on May 3rd of this year, but since I was still writing the articles and just forgot to post them, I think it is fair to say that I have continued posting almost every day.

That means I have been doing it every day for about 600 days.

I know I shouldn't say it myself, but it really is amazing. (Don't say it yourself lol)

By the way, there is only one rule I have for my daily posts. I write about 1,000 characters, that's all. (It's an estimate, so sometimes it's around 600 characters lol)

Today's theme starts here.

The reason I can keep posting daily is because it is a daily post, and I wouldn't be able to keep it up if it were a weekly post.

Every single day,
rain or shine,
whether I'm feeling energetic or tired,
whether I'm out or at home,
whether it's a workday or a day off,
writing an article without fail is very difficult.

If this were once a week, it would be easier.
Because you only need to do it once a week instead of every day.

But, and this is just a guess, I think I can keep it up because it is a daily post, and I wouldn't be able to keep it up if it were once a week.

It seems strange that the harder task is easier to keep up with, while the easier task is harder to maintain, right? But you know, it's true. (It's a hypothesis since I don't post weekly)

Every single day, I make sure to set aside 30 minutes at the earliest, or an hour at the latest, to get myself ready to write, which is why I can do it.

If this were once a week, because I am lazy, it would eventually become once every two weeks, then once every three weeks, and I would keep increasing the intervals until I eventually stopped writing altogether.

This is the case for a lazy person like me; there are proper people who aren't like that, but lazy people like me are more common, right?

Also, in my case, although it has changed again now, I tend to worry about my writing being poor or my logic being flawed, which makes it hard for me to post.

But you know, the next day comes right away. If I think I'm sleepy at night and go to bed, it's already morning. So, I don't have time to worry about whether my logic is flawed or my writing isn't good.

Well, in my case, even if I think about it a little, my writing doesn't get any better. It's like trying to rest a bad idea. There's no point in thinking about it.

Ah, it's not going well, but the time has come, so I have no choice, and I just go ahead and post every day. That's why it continues.

For a lazy person like me, I think daily posting is better. Why don't you try it too?
