Let's go to the DIC Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art!
The other day, this news was broadcast.
I knew that this museum was in my home prefecture of Chiba.
However, it is a bit far. It takes a little less than an hour by car from my place.
But I thought that if I didn't go now, it might disappear, so I decided to go.
By the way, it seems that the number of visitors has increased since this news was broadcast, so the closure period has been extended by two months, from late January to late March.
But you know, if you're just drifting along, two months go by in the blink of an eye.
As for my impressions after visiting, in a word, it is very luxurious.
First of all, a huge, beautiful garden is waiting for you right there.
The pond is large, the trees are lush, and there are even places that feel like a forest.

Art pieces were displayed here and there in the garden. They didn't feel like they were insisting that they were art pieces, but rather like they were blending into the garden.
Just walking through the garden feels great.

The garden alone is nice, but then there is the museum.
The museum is also elaborately designed, and the exterior looks just like a farm silo.

The exterior looks small, but it has a lot of depth and is quite spacious inside.
The exhibition rooms have high ceilings and the works are displayed with plenty of space, so you can view them in a relaxed mood.
Also, the works exhibited inside are amazing.
Works by painters whose names even I know, such as Picasso, Renoir, and Monet, are lined up.
Also, the souvenirs were quite extensive.
I bought a notepad with human-shaped cutouts.

I tried playing with it right away lol
That concludes my report on the DIC Kawamura Memorial Museum.
It is unclear what will happen after it closes, but there is a possibility that it might disappear, so why not go visit while you still can?
