A Healthy Mind 🩵
The human heart has both a good side and an evil side; this is normal.
Everyone possesses both. If there is someone who has never once had an evil thought, that is truly wonderful and worthy of respect.
Even the Buddha had both a good heart and an evil heart. However, the Buddha changed his thinking, chose the path of hardship, and left behind the teaching that a good heart is the most important thing.
He passed away after leaving behind teachings that were simple, logical, and convincing.
While everyone has both a good heart and an evil heart, it goes without saying that a good heart is better.
However, if something is convenient for oneself and does not serve one's own interests, it becomes an evil heart.
In the modern world, life can be difficult, but there are still those who desperately work and act for the sake of others, and those who do not require anything in return; these people are, of course, possessors of a good heart.
A healthy body contains a good heart!
The heart fluctuates! It holds the potential to change depending on the situation and one's position at that time.
We were not born to do evil!
There are those who walk the path of life, have various experiences, get swallowed by rough waves, and then run down the path of evil! This is not necessarily a mistake!
It is also a fact that there are those who, while walking the path of life, get swallowed by rough waves and are on the verge of sinking, yet do not abandon hope and simply resolve to live.
I, too, used to think only about my own self-interest, but I came to love the Buddha's words and the Buddha's way of life, and I stopped thinking that way.
The Buddha's end came as he lay down under the twin sala trees and entered meditation. And then, he passed away just like that.
He entered a state of permanence and immortality, released from the cycle of reincarnation where one is born and dies repeatedly. This is called Nirvana.
It is said that at that moment, the twin sala trees bloomed out of season, and petals showered down upon the Buddha's body like a blizzard.
The Buddha's final words were:
“He who is without fear, who has abandoned craving, and who is without defilement, has cut off the arrows of existence. This body is his last.” Having left these words, he passed away.
This means that for those who have reached the state of enlightenment, life and death are no longer relevant.
This ultimate state is called 'Nirvana-shakujo' (the stillness of Nirvana).
It is important to focus your mind and live in today's modern society.
The foundation of life lies in meditation. Simply meditation.
The self, covered in worldly desires, will gradually change into a pure state.
And when the mind changes, it becomes joy.
It is a very simple teaching: it is important to shut out information from the outside world, turn all your nerves and consciousness inward, and enter deep meditation. Breathing techniques are also important.
A healthy body gives birth to a healthy mind, and furthermore, a healthy mind makes it possible to find hope and goals!
I am 63 years old, but I think my body has the physical strength of someone in their 40s.
I believe it is important to live with a single, straightforward heart!
A single heart is a heart without duplicity!
In my personal opinion, it is important to live with a well-regulated mind!
I don't have a photo today, but I would like to share my philosophy of living!
Please look forward to tomorrow! by donchan💪🩵☝️
