Wanting to Meet Kiyohara: Lions Blue, Nearly Transparent
CoroCoro Comic, Dragon Quest, Kiyohara (July 21, 2022)
We see many movies and novels these days, such as "We Couldn't Become Adults" and "We Made a Beautiful Bouquet," that look back on the era when the author was at their brightest, primarily the 80s and 90s. This baseball book follows that trend.
Rather than a heavy work of non-fiction, it uses a light, witty touch to look back on the era when Kazuhiro Kiyohara was not yet the "Bancho" (boss), but still the "Kiyomah" who retained a sense of cuteness, while layering in the trends and social conditions of the time alongside the author's own elementary school days.
The shop owner was also one of those elementary school students who never doubted that the day would come when Kazuhiro Kiyohara would break Sadaharu Oh's home run record.
This is a work I would like to dedicate to those elementary school students from back then who read "CoroCoro Comic," were obsessed with "Dragon Quest," and dreamed of Kazuhiro Kiyohara.
